Multiclassing - What progresses according to Character levels?

Rules Questions

Is there anywhere a concise and clear list of which things about a character progress according to the character's total levels, and which things progress according to the class level they are adding at the moment? I'm hoping for a rundown of everything on the character sheet, skill ranks, feats, level prerequisites, item availability, SFS tier, everything.

Please keep in mind that I don't know anything about Pathfinder nor what all those abbreviations mean, and I don't yet have a corebook.

Leveling up as a multiclass is pretty much the same as leveling up "normally".
There's no special way to do it like there is in some other games.
You just have to follow what the class you're leveling in says, whatever happened before that doesn't really affect it. See the links for details.

For feat prerequisites, it's usually self evident - and most of them depend on character level. Either way, it's stated in the pre-requisites entry.
Class abilities are the ones that care most about class levels, and here too it will say as much, just pay attention to the wording and you'll be fine.
Item level is compared to character level, for availability purposes.

Dipping is usually pretty good, actual multiclassing is terrible in starfinder levels (except for the envoy, who bails on their class at 12 is not sooner)

Rules wiese, when most classes refer to the classes ability "times your level, + your level" or what have you they mean class level. Which hurts for multiclassing.

Thanks!

Let me make sure I got this right.

Based on your total levels:
Ability score and modifier increases
max Ranks allowed in each Skill
Feats and Theme Benefits
Items you can buy
Tier in SFS
XP needed for next level (SFS)

Based on your current Class level:
Skill ranks from current level
Class Skills and Class bonuses to Skills
SP and HP
Base Saving Throw Bonuses
Base Attack Bonuses
Class Abilities, Class Feats, and Connection Powers
Spells known and Spell slots
Proficiencies

other:
Skill ranks from each previous level, when increasing Ability modifiers: class and class level of each previous character level
RP: total level, and best Key Ability Score
Caster level: total of spellcasting classes
level prerequisites in Feats: as listed in the Feat
Items you can craft: Skill Ranks (max = total level)

Is that all correct?

I feel like you're making it seem more complex than it is, but yeah, seems correct.

If in doubt, the page I linked earlier has the step by step, it's an excerpt from the crb, and it has all you need. Good to have in a pinch.
You'll get used to the process soon enough, no worries.
