The Tactician Dedication Archetype

Homebrew and House Rules

Hello everyone! Wanted to share a homebrew dedication archetype I cooked up for one of my fellow players who wanted to play a tactician-like character. The objective is to provide tools for players to live out the fantasy of being the battle vanguard - giving out directions, assisting on other's attacks, and making their team more awesome.

Without further ado, here's the link to the google doc!
I would greatly appreciate feedback and/or your thoughts on it.

First feedback: You should enable comments on the Google doc so that I can give feedback more directly. :P

Second feedback: You've effectively made this archetype Rogue-only for on-level entry, since no one else can be expert in a skill at second level. That doesn't seem intentional, since this reads like a fighter-focused archetype.

Going through feat by feat now that I have a bit more time...

Dedication feat: This is really good. Maybe too good. It should at the very least have an explicit duration. Being able to give someone a bigger bonus than Shield Block (fairly easily at higher levels since the default DC of 20 never changes) is crazy strong. Might want to limit it to applying against a single attack. That said, this is a really cool idea and I like it as a core concept for the class.

Master of Tactics: Combined with the dedication feat, this is stacking a lot of benefits on Aid. I suppose that is the point. I think as long as the AC bonus from the dedication is reigned in a bit, this isn't overkill, and I love the flavor.

Expert Advice: Also really strong... hard for me to say if this is too good or not. I think it's okay, but it should maybe be a fortune effect. Another awesome ability flavor-wise, though.

Get It Together: This absolutely needs to be a fortune effect. Otherwise I think this is fine; it's strong, but you can only use it if you aren't using Aid, which is otherwise your best class feature. And since you have to spend an action to set up Aid, you are often going to end up wasting an action to use this in an emergency. So I think that counteracts how good it is.

Coordinated Assault: This is definitely a feat this class should have, but also definitely requires the AC bonus to be scaled back. Good feat on its own once the dedication is sorted out. However, as written it actually doesn't work because Aid is a reaction that triggers on an ally making a check; unless two allies are making checks simultaneously this will never actually benefit you. Maybe instead change the wording to "Whenever you spend an action to prepare to take the Aid reaction, you can prepare to assist up to two allies at once and you gain a bonus reaction that can only be used to take the Aid reaction. You can only gain a single bonus reaction per turn from this ability, and if you don't use this reaction by the start of your next turn, it is lost."

Encouraging Advice: I don't see an Assist action; do you mean the Aid reaction? This feat would be really strong for any action except Aid, but that default DC of 20 that doesn't increase means that by this level you are almost always crit succeeding anyway. So I think that's fine. Once again, though, problematic with the dedication. A guaranteed +3 (+4 starting at 15th level!) to AC to two allies every round is way over the top. Applying it just against a single attack is still really good, but probably reasonable.
