Mature Cat Companions Increase Precision Damage?

Rules Discussion

Mature Animal Companions increase their unarmed damage from 1 dice to 2. Does this apply to the 1d4 precision damage by cat animal companions on flat-footed targets?

Bumping this cos I still couldn’t really find an answer to this. My take is that it should since it is an unarmed attack?

I would say not. Mature animal companion specifically says "Increase its unarmed attack damage from one die to two dice."

Plus, sneak attack is not linked to how many weapon dice you are rolling. It increases at its own rate.
