Minimum ability score for casting?

Rules Discussion

Afternoon everyone!

Just making sure I didn't miss something, but I don't need an Int/Wis/Chr score of 16 to cast 6th level spell? Having a high key ability only impacts the DCs and Attack rolls?

Thanks for the assist!

Correct, there is no minimum stat. Though multiclassing into casters requires a 14.

Thank you very much for the clarification!

I like the removal of minimum stat requirements. It opens up possibilities for more strength or dexterity-focused casters, should you want to go that route without multiclassing. Admittedly, even if minimum stats were still in the game they wouldn't be much of a problem. Even if you started with that MC minimum of 14 in your casting stat at character gen, you could have the requisite 19 by level fifteen, just two levels before you'd be getting 9th-level spells anyhow.

Yes there is no "minimum stat" for casting, but all of your resists, bonuses, and to hits are based on casting stat+TEML+level of caster.
