As I was leafing through my PF2E Core Rulebook I took notice that the spell reincarnate (usually the sole purview of the Druid class) is missing.
Was this intentional? Will it be added later (ala APG2e)?
I saw that too. My guess is that theyre waiting for there to be more ancestries or else it'd be kinda lackluster

Personally, I suspect it'll come back as a ritual if anything... I honestly didn't check to see if it was in the rituals, but I don't remember it being there.
I'm assuming it will be a ritual at some point, if they bring it back at all. I hope they do, because it was always my favorite means of returning to life for the new RP opportunity, but it may have funny interactions with the new ancestry system so they may decide to let it die between editions.

While I do agree with general nerfs for the "god casters" of yesteryear, it was a bit sad to see such "world-building" spells (incl. Fabricate, Teleporation Circle) get the axe on core treatment, as I like magitech style campaigns like Eberron or even the fan-made notorious Tippyverse.
You could always tweak the Resurrect ritual and add a random d6 (or d8 to cover half-elves and half-orcs) roll for Ancestry, and then a d4 (or whatever) roll for Heritage. That should cover the physical transformation, and maybe grant something equivalent to the "Adopted Ancestry" feat to allow them to continue taking ancestry feats from their original ancestry?

I hadn’t thought about the lack of races/ancestries being a reason for not including “reincarnate” ... but definitely makes sense as I think about it.
Perhaps it will return as a ritual (maybe in the August 2020 release of the APG2e).
But I liked the variant resurrection idea that was mentioned.
