Does anyone know what "River Kingdom Excavator" boon from the playtest does? All I seem to be able to find is the 'Slowly excavate Ramlock's Tower' without knowing what that is mechanically -- I'm guessing its expand downtime for some long term payoff..... (Do I need to click purchase to find out? Is that a irreversible action? I haven't wanted to click through anything w/o knowing how it all works)

I've actually go the same question/concern. It'd be nice to see exactly what some of the boons do before clicking a possibly irreversible button. Or get confirmation you'll view a sample first before there's no going back.

I bought this after doing a little wiki research into Ramlock's Tower.

I'm looking t it as a long term hook for my -2001 PC.

Sadly, once you click the button, there's no going back - those points are spent.

Can you speak to what the boon does, mechanically?

No clue at the moment.

Hoping that when they enable the boon printing function that I'll get more info.

I looked up "Ramlock's Tower" on the wiki. Wow. Very interesting. Part of the Doomsday Dawn playtest adventure.

Yup I GM'd it; I know its flavor, but before I spend points on it, I'ld like the boon spelled out.

I spent it.

Anyone have any details on this yet?

You will almost certainly need to wait till Paizo staff make their way back into the office and emerge from under their giant post-GenCon todo lists, I'd expect next week at the earliest.

I still have nightmares about running parts of DDD.

Still, if the thing is more mechanically interesting than the other options Ill get it so I am sitting on the points.

Sorry for pinging this post back up, but I hope that we could have a response soon with what it does exactly before people spend their non-refundable points.

I have not spent any of my Playtest Points yet. I decided it was better to wait until I had more information on how all the options worked.

Hopefully they don't expire like Paizo Fun Bux Store Vouchers do.

At the very least, hopefully not before there is a year or so of knowing what said Boons are in total.

I know this one in particular is on Jared's list of things to look into for the Guide. So hopefully, once the campaign leadership have an answer he can get it posted reasonably quickly w/o needing to wait for a Paizo website update.

I don’t need it in the guide, but I’d love it if the PTB’s would answer this, or any of the other number of questions, I understand that GenCon is big and stressful, but it’s almost like they launched a new campaign and peopl e have questions. When does the radio silence stop?

Asking again guys, it’s been a month since GenCon and the release of PF2(and PFS 2.0), can we get a little help on this?

I just purchased the Rugged Navigator boon. I guess I just wait until something happens.

If I'd known the boons were all priced even numbered, I'd have made sure I had an even number of Playtest points.

Well they updated it today....

From 'Slowly excavate Ramlock's Tower' to 'Slowly excavate Ramlock's Tower to gain treasure. May purchase more than once, but cost increases 50% at each purchase.'

That doesn't really help at all with the question of how do we use this boon if we've bought it/are thinking of buying it.

Sounds like the old Treasure Map boon. You probably check off a box instead of earning cash during downtime. After so many boxes checked, earn X amount of gold.

Likely, yes, but it would still be nice to know the mechanics. People have character's they might want to purchase this boon for and start spending downtime towards it. I think its still the only only playtest boon that is non-functional without further information.

Of course being Ramlock's tower I wouldn't be surprised if instead of gold it were access to some uncommon occult items or spells.
