It seems only "martial" class get to advance e.g. champions, rangers, barbarians, monks (unarmed only). Rogues don't get better than trained for example, so the only way to go beyond that seems to take the fighter dedication then Diverse Weapon Expert (level 12!) to become expert. It doesn't look like you can get better than that. Only fighters can advanced to legendary.

Rogues get to master at level 13 (Master Tricks class feature), most everyone else gets at least expert with starting weapons at level 11 or so. Even wizards get expert with their starting weapons.

All of which makes me annoyed Alchemists don't get to Master with bombs. Or with simple and bombs.
Amusingly any class with Martial at Master or Legendary are more accurate with bombs. Though that does sort of make some sense. They're skilled at hitting with them. But they're not as skilled as the alchemist in~how~ to use them. (but I just wish they got Master with bombs, and Legendary with the DC)
It is still sort of funny though.
