Sorry if there is another thread for this, but I didn't find one(maybe I am just crap at searching, iunno).
Anyway, just what the title implies, What are the differences between PF2 and the playtest?
What things changed?
The PF2 core rule book is a whopping 640 pages, where the playtest is much smaller. What all content was added?
What rules have changed?

In short: too much to list here
A few details: more feats for classes, reworked masteries, reworked weapon and spell damage balance, some new and changed spells, additional bloodlines, some reworked class feature (instincts instead of totems for example), more racial feats, shields, shield usage
and then there are the things which depend on your version of the playtest like heritages, the alchemist and alchemicas, attunement, rogue rackets (they werent named like that yet)
And probably a number more things I didn'T remember from top of my head

Not as far as I know, but it IS a lot
I followed the playtest and tried to get as many infos as possible from the forums and a changelog would be long, very long
I am sure if you want some specifics you could get them here but it is simply too much to list it all
besides one would have to read the playtest, the playtest 1.6 update document, the archetype update document and the new core rulebook side by side and then see what was changed, what stayed etc

Enough has changed that anyone who was put off in any way by the playtest rules needs to take an open-minded look at the final 2E CRB.
The only example I'll mention is that Resonance was struck completely from the game. So Paizo had no golden cows, they acted on playtest feedback with very positive results IMO (based on what I've read - I do not actually have my PF2 books yet)

This is exactly correct, I did not like the play test, there were parts that if they had kept in the final I would not have looked at it. I got my books earlier this week and so far I love it. The change log would be almost a book in itself.

Nice. Yeah, the playtest gave me a good idea of what to expect, and we played through it with a bit of awkwardness.
I have my PF2 books already(got them yesterday), I have just not had a chance to really sit down and dig through the details yet.
If it has changed that much, that is good I guess. So far I think everyone seems pretty happy with PF2, which is also good.
Thanks for the information!

I bought the PF1 playtest book, and was very glad at all the changes made to the official Pathfinder game. It was quite a bit different from the 1E playtest book. I also bought the 2E playtest book, but I wasn't able to play it because I was in the hospital for most of the 2nd half of last year. But I've looked it over and been listening to the videos about the leadup to the launch of PF2, and it has made me very excited for it. Wish my gaming group was also excited for it, but my group are PF1 diehards and said they might try 1 game of it if I GM it, so I'll try that and hope for the best.
