Has anyone gotten their CRB for 2E from a third party yet?

Pathfinder Second Edition General Discussion

Anxiously awaiting my order fulfillment from a 3rd party and just looking for any morsels that might give me hope that I won't have to wait until 2 weeks past the release date to get my books...

Please report any shipping notices, order fulfillment updates, etc., or obviously if you actually receive the books :)

I guess the title doesn't capture the intent of my post very well. I didn't actually expect that anyone had gotten their 3rd party order yet, I just want to hear about it as soon as it happens. Whether they are supposed to or not, I suspect there are some dealers who ship as soon as they get the books. So I'd expect that at least some people will get them a little bit before Aug 1st.

Please post if that happens, though maybe don't say where you ordered from. We don't want anyone getting in trouble for what could just be a good-faith shipping issue (i.e., dealer was aiming for you to get your stuff on street date but the postal service overachieved).

I got the CRB and bestiary pre-ordered for me for my birthday from a 3rd party (it's Amazon). The last I heard, is they will send an email when they have an arrival date.
From what I understand, Amazon, and I'm assuming most 3rd parties, try to deliver on release date. Unlike Paizo, they won't risk breaking street date, and would rather have it arrive a day or two late than early.
Only other consideration is that the CRB is already listed as a bestseller on Amazon. Worst case scenario, is a 3rd party might not receive enough copies for everyone to get their order out by the release date. That seems unlikely though.

My FLGS ordered less than a week ago and expects them to arrive in time.

I got an email from Amazon and it is posted on my Amazon account that the books will arrive by Aug. 1st. I just checked the mail today and there are still no books, so I bet they will probably arrive exactly on the 1st. Amazon has enough people to ship out the books exactly on or maybe a day after the release date, and probably some fear not to beat the release date by accident.

My order from Amazon said August 1 also.

I got an email today from bookdepository saying the crb had been released by paizo. Hopefully they will deliver very soon.

I ordered mine from Paizo dot com, and haven't gotten a shipping notification, even though others got their books on their doorstep early last week.
I'm likely going to have to buy one from a game store, since it looks like my book isn't coming anytime soon.
So, it's not just 3rd party that takes a while.

That's probably the case if you live in the US. Pre-ordered from Amazon (I'm in Australia) and have received emails to let me know the estimated delivery date of August 12 - 15, using Amazon Global Expedited Shipping. I'm in for an extended wait, so I'll be hitting Archives of Nethys on August 1 for a preview.

I am expecting mine to arrive from bookdepository by next week friday at the earliest. Tuesday/wednesday the week after at the latest.

No movement on the amazon order so far (got a crb in both)

Aus here too, did you order from amazon us or au?

Preordered from Amazon US, because the AU store didn't drop their price till some time after. Delivery time was the same either way and pricing was very close.

Preordered The Fall of Plaguestone + Flip Mats from The Book Depository instead of Amazon, because the price was much better, especially with free delivery. Nothing else was cheaper, sadly.

If people placed multiple orders and are planning on cancelling all but the first one sent, delivery estimates are going to be crazy. :)

I find book depository keeps better care of their packages (packaging, warehouse and royal mail) as well as shipping faster. So I got two orders, one with the bestiary, crb and cheaper stuff from BD, another with a second CRB (for players) and softcovers from amazon au.

So no plans on cancelling here.

Currently I have no date from amazon au.

Preordered CRB, Bestiary, Condition Cards, Hellknight Hill and the DM Screen from Amazon US, who sent me shipping estimates (2 parts) on 21/7 and 25/7. Nothing from Book Depository yet, but its likely that order will arrive first.

When I preordered through Amazon US I hoped they would send it out early to arrive around August 1, just like Paizo. That dream shattered after their delivery estimates arrived...

I ordered From Amazon.au and also have no date. Given we’ll have AOE on August 1st I’m not too worried but it sure would have been nice to have an early copy I could have been reading now.

My Amazon US order (going to the US) has been updated on their site. It doesn't say it has shipped yet, but it now says "Arriving Thursday" (which will be the 1st)

Amazon US. The order has also been updated to arriving Aug 1st.

Leechblock is a wonderful thing. I have it set to 10min per 30min.

Amazon's expected delivery dates are notoriously inaccurate wrt new Paizo products. Most of them end up arriving on release date or shortly thereafter (at least in the US), despite prior notice that they're going to be weeks late. (Something to do with the difference in shipping dates for book and hobby trades: Books get in earlier in the week than stuff from hobby distributors, so their system looks at the warehouse, sees nothing there, and decides it won't arrive until next week when it's really only a day or two out, iirc.) Hope it works out for you.

Ditto, but the designated shipping method takes 7 - 10 business days to Australia and there's currently no tracking available, so I can't see any way it could get here in time. Once it leaves the warehouse I'll have a much better idea of the delivery date.

Until then, I'll gnaw my own entrails with envy for the more fortunate come August 1. :P

Yup, ordered mine I think 6-7 days ago and it came in the mail earlier today. I'm reading it when I can but it's slow going, I'm through 3/12 classes so far.

Ah, so there is hope...

Still no update on the website for my order though. Starting to look like August 1 is best-case for me :(

What, still no shipping notices from Amazon or others?! Man, this waiting sucks...

Mistakes were made, emailed BD and had it confirmed. My CRB was being held up from being shipped because the character sheet pack hasn't been cleared yet.

RiP. Of all the things to hold up an order, should have ordered them all separately.

Still nothing from Amazon AU. I got free expedited shipping but it will still take a while to arrive from the US.

My U.S. Amazon order is estimated to arrive August 2nd.

Amazon US just updated the delivery date for Hellknight Hill to September 13, 2019 - September 18, 2019, which is rather sad for a product that's supposed to release tomorrow. Amazon Global Expedited Shipping is starting to look rather redundant with that ETA. CRB is still showing August 12 - August 15, 2019.

Anyone else experienced a similar blow out in arrival time?

Historically Amazon has been poor when buying books at launch (a few months delay used to be par for the course).

However, my impression has been that they’ve improved considerably recently. There may also be hope for you in that their systems are automated and when they don’t have all the information, I believe they just push the date out to be conservative. If they’ve got all the other books in stock, chances are they’ve got this too, so hopefully things will shake out okay within the next week.

I got my "Your Order has Shipped" notice today. It says it is leaving Ruskin, Florida. That is strange, there are closer Amazon warehouses than that, like southern California.

I got a notice today that my book has been shipped by Amazon. It is expected to be delivered Thursday, August 1st. Which is the day after tomorrow as I write this. If it’s already been shipped though like it says,
I am holding out hope that it will arrive tomorrow July 31st. We have Amazon warehouses local to where I live <fingers crossed> and nearly always get our shipments from them immediately after shipment.

Still no notice from the site I preordered from. Wish I'd gone with Amazon, but at the time I pre-ordered their prices were not as good.

Oh well, I guess I'll have to slog through the swamped AoN site tomorrow...

Amazon ships from the closest warehouse with the item in stock, not the closest warehouse period.

My Amazon order has been projected to arrive 8/6 for the past week or so, but I just got a shipping notification that everything is on it's way and should be here tomorrow!

Still nothing for my Amazon AU so i'll definitely be hoping AoN can take the strain tomorrow of all the people using it at once.

Still happy I went with Amazon. $62 AUD vs the $107 & $120 the local game shop and book store is asking for.

Finally got my notice that it's shipping tomorrow. I only paid for economy shipping but the notice says expedited (maybe because I've sent a couple polite wtf emails). Let's see how long it takes to actually get here...

RPG Superstar 2010 Top 32

Just got word that my books from Miniature Market won't be ready until tomorrow. Luckily, they're a FLGS for me since I'm in St. Louis so I'll just go pick them up. A day's delay, but I have the pdfs to keep me busy in the meantime.

They shipped my book overnight, due to arrive August 14th. Thankfully I have the AON and can always purchase the PDF with the money I saved. Rogue looks so good, can't wait until we actually get to play.

Ordered from Amazon Canada because I wasn't looking to pay 50-60 dollars in shipping and I finally got an estimated delivery time. Sept 13-Oct 24...

Sovereign Court

I actually got mine right on August 1st. About 11 AM or so there was a knock at the door so I didn't even have to lug it from the mail boxes.

My Amazon UK order will be 2 weeks after the release date. But since my group isn't anywhere near ready to play 2E and I saved on both list price and presumably massive shipping I guess it is ok....

Received my Core Rulebook and Bestiary from Amazon yesterday, 8/1.

I finally got my CRB and Bestiary on August 6th. Worth the wait! Me and my son have already made up 3 characters for him and one for me. Looking forward to get my Plaguestone module (in a separate shipment, arriving probably Saturday).
