Variety: "Rutger Hauer, ‘Blade Runner’ Co-Star, Dies at 75"

While I think his role in Blade Runner elevated the film to a classic, I will always remember him most fondly for his role in Lady Hawke.

Requiescat in pace, Mr Hauer.

I remember watching "The Hitcher" with friends in a dorm room in college and swearing to never pick up another hitchhiker again.

Someone reminded me that Blade Runner was set in the dystopian future Los Angeles of 2019. Roy Batty dies at the end of Blade Runner; Roy Batty dies in 2019.

No love for Blind Fury? A forgotten gem.

I was going to add that but forgot...

The man was amazing.

Blind Fury introduced me to Zatoichi, a personal hero of mine.

My favorite quote from him was a simple one from one of my all time favorite movies, Blood of Heroes.

"NO! You WALK."

Ah yes! When he got to duel Sho Kosugi. I'd give Freehold's left arm for an opportunity like that.

Only two Nexus-6 remain.
