Closest you could probably get would be to take an existing golem type and break it down by HD so that you can level up, but that totally excludes the transformational aspect you're looking for . . . .

Build a story feat that "ultimates" with you becoming a construct. Got to eat one sword per HD per XP level gain (Hurray, blood toxicity!!), or something. But not all at once -- just before you gain the following level.
But that's a bit ridiculous.
If your GM is anti-3.5, I think you'll have to go another way -- different character concept altogether.
Impossible Bloodline Sorcerer, that's basically the closest you can get that I'm aware of. Of course, that's not till 20th level so it's not particularly viable.
Unchained Synthesist Summoner with Inevitable can get you something similar, I suppose. Impossible bloodline on Sorc can actually do it at 16th with the bloodline robes (GM willing), but that's still pretty late. Psychic can transfer their consciousness into a robot at 20th if you're allowed to use the retraining rules (the ability can't even be taken without those rules).
Androids are both humanoids and constructs. Android Crossblooded impossible/nanite bloodline sorcerer with the magitech alternate racial trait is quite constructy :)
The book Deep Magic has the Clockworker wizard archetype which becomes a construct at 20th level.
I can't link at the moment but the Living Monolith Prestige class may be a place to start. Though it is a bit more for becoming a stone man you could try and flavour it like being a construct.
