Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

On page 19 of the Guide to Korvosa, it states Alika Epakena lived from 4408 to 4429 AR. Later, on the same page, it states she was adopted by the Empire of Cheliax in 4431. Is this a mistake, or was she adopted postmortem?

On the same page, it's clearly stated that the citizenship was granted after her death:

Guide to Korvosa, p. 19 wrote:
The first child conceived and born in Fort Korvosa, Alika Epakena (4408–4429) also bears distinction as the first person of Varisian blood to receive citizenship in the Empire of Cheliax (awarded posthumously).
