You can hire NPCs to cast spells of up to 6th level at up to 12th caster level.
You cannot have them cast metamagic versions of the spell, nor can you have any special class features (such as being harder to dispel) as part of the casting.

But, can you hire someone to use a magic item for you? Cast a spell from a wand or scroll in your possession? How much does this cost?

Can you hire someone to cast a spell and use your metamagic rod to enhance it? Does this affect the cost in any way?

I always rely on my other party members for spellcasting stuff. Especially when we're on an expedition in the middle of nowhere. A secluded cavern, deep dark dungeon, the Mwangi expanse.

table variation/dms call on most of that. Although there seems to be a reason they don't want you using metamagicked versions so i'd be leery of the rod work around.

1, 2, and 3 are not defined in the CRB or under PFS rules that I'm aware of.

Technically NPC spellcasting costs are far less than the scroll cost...

4) clearly you can hire an NPC to cast a specific spell. Using your rod falls into GM territory but I'd agree that it's discouraged.
PCs have far more lattitude so rely on your party casters.

Expect table variation or a straight no if it sounds like you are trying to game the system.
