Aether Kineticists As a Jedi

Yes I know (Not another Jedi thread) but to be fair most of those are Jedi/Magus builds. I’m looking strictly as using an aether Kineticist for Jedi and an Aether Kin(maybe mixed with lightning/void) for a Sith. The Arther wild talents can easily account for force powers. Here are the remaining abilities needed to make it a true Jedi:

-Weapon Proficiency: Plasma Blade (Feat)

Need a way to gain telepathy, empathy, detect thoughts and suggestion as spell like abilities

I wouldn't recommend plasma blade as the weapon, it's too restrictive. I'd go for either an adamantine longsword or bastard sword with Kinetic Weapon, or Ascetic Style with an adamantine temple sword and Kinetic Fist.

They don't really have Telepathy, in the sense of having whole conversations. Based on the movies and expanded universe, I think most jedi would be multiclass, a few levels in something that grants Uncanny Dodge to show their danger sense, ranks in Sense Motive to represent their being in tune with the Force, because they really can'tread minds, just sense connections. Suggestion is the real big issue. Only way I can see to get it requires 6 feats, 1 for Racial Heritage Kitsune, and 5 Magical Tail feats. I suppose you could talk to the GM about adding some choices to the Kinetic Invocation feat, based on training only available to a Jedi.

I could swear they have a version of telepathy or at least empathy. The multiclass could be a VMC so the kin abilities don’t suffer too much. Monks are honestly more close but the Aether kin makes a great way if tracking all the force abilities.

It was never really defined, but more on a wider scale, Obi-wan and Alderan, or on a personal level, Anakin and his mother. Even then, Anakin was more seeing the future, as his mother hadn't been captured when the visions started.

VMC sorcerer Rakshasa will get you some mind reading, a bluff boost, and non-detection. And you can make up for the precog stuff using occult skill unlocks.

Telepathy is either a high level spell or racial ability with a short range. I looked into ways to get it for a mute musician and never came up with anything better than picking one of the two very odd races with short range telepathy. Hopefully someone else found something for that.

VMV Sorcerer sounds perfect if I did nothing homebrew.

I’m however thinking of building a hybrid class between monk and kinet. Just need to look at when not on phone and actual computer. Will post later.
