Id like to see you have my old lunch with the brocolis and cauliflowers. Half a tub is pretty filling. And no one ever manages to eat a lot of chickpeas. You'll get full before anything else happens.

AKA "eat lots of food I don't like" or "eat lots of food that is expensive".

Broccoli is tolerable but all the toppings and additives required to make it so kind of kill the ability to use it for dieting purposes. Chicken is the same, on its own its bland and unappetizing and adding enough flavor to make it enjoyable ruins the low-calorie aspect of it. Fish is just plain expensive on top of having the same problem. And cauliflower and chickpeas I just hate.

Which is the majority of the problem with dieting, really. All the foods that are good for you are either not tasty to eat, expensive to acquire, or both. While foods that are bad for you are flavorful, cheap, or both.

Broccoli with cheese?! Why'd you want to spoil a broccoli like that? Nah I'd eat it with or without cheese. Really.

My beef with onigiri or sushi in general is too much rice. I ain't running a half marathon everyday.Try every week maybe.

I whack any sashimi I can get my paws on though.

Green beans here, and even then they're better with sauce. Every other kind of bean is unappetizing to me. >_>

Broccoli covered in either cheese sauce or melted shredded cheese is probably the most common way it's served here in the US, especially to children. It's probably at least partially responsible for it being one of the ways I can stand the stuff, though I admittedly prefer other sauces a bit more now.

Broccoli is fine with cheese. It's also fine with butter. But mostly it's best in brown gravy much like Brussels sprouts.

Also never leave the Prime Material Plane without back up gear...

Shadow Lodge

I don't think I've ever tried that, I'll have to give it a shot.

Except the sprouts part, do not care for sprouts. >q<

It must be a american and European thing because like 55% of the broccoli I see is covered in cheese.

I haven't played it yet, but I think it said "Poor Bosses", which I assume means you get worse rewards for killing the bosses.

I may have to look up a video to see how people beat it on Ascension 20.

Hmm. I have a friend who got certified as American Councilor exercises group fitness instructor. He wants to pass me the notes. Id be interested in those to improve my own fitness, but would not likely use them to help others, since coaching is like teaching and I kinda s*ck at it =(

Then I feel I might have been letting him down if I don't take it up.

You know, not a people cat here?

Broccoli is fine with garlic and salt. I don't need anything else.

Brussel sprouts should be fried with bacon and onions.

More of a fan of stir fry really. If I steam I need to mix the brocoli with oyster sauce. And maybe sesame oil.

This recipe for roasted broccoli is quite good. The roasting mellows out the sulfur compounds in the broccoli. You can substitute cashew pieces, pistachios, or slivered almonds for the pine nuts. You can sub dried basil for fresh, but reduce it to 2 tsp dried and let it rehydrate for a few minutes in the lemon juice before tossing.

But yeah, broccoli and brussel sprouts are both good with brown gravy. But they're even better in Fannie Farmer's milk gravy. For maximum deliciousness, use bacon drippings (aka grease from cooked bacon) for the fat.

Hey, Foghorn, don't bogart that joint.

Wait, what?

Thanks Woran! I'm glad my gender is still intact for being a man that likes brown gravy on stuff. :p

Also today, had some brown gravy with left over meatloaf. It was good...the gravy I mean. The meatloaf was passable.

Your a tehcno/synth/country guy right? a very niche genre but whatever works for you.

(It's all about how the robots are gonna steal your truck dog and wife.)

Ok so I actually talked myself into this now I might be a fan of it.

I would at least give it a chance.

Linkin Park I know is not considered metal by some people, but I like In the end, New Divide, Numb and their songs in general.

Evanescence - Bring me to Life, Whisper, Imaginary, Everybody's fool

I also like Liberi Fatali from Final Fantasy 8.

I watched Gemini man with my BF yesterday.

Movie spoilers:

I wonder what I could say to my younger chubby self. That you could be a bad ass? That you could look like how I do now? That you can train yourself such that you can move on the bouldering wall and not feel crappy when people can swing while you can't?

My younger self would probably say something along the lines, "Sure, you help me do my homework first."

But at least I could tell my younger self that the secret to not overeating is to redirect your hunger towards vegetables. Even as a kid I ate(and overate) because I felt hungry...

Gonna go see Joker Thursday. Wasn't originally going to but to many good reviews floating around.

The Exchange

Joker movie spoilers:

I don't care for the show very much. Its a villain wins-the-day type of show and sure, I understand Arthur has problems. But that doesn't give him the right to go on a murder spree just because he has issues. Again I'm a lawful kitty, so seeing disproportionate retribution and chaotic acts makes my heckles rise.

The goons in the train? Sure, shoot them because they were assaulting him. Self defense. Warranted. But once they start to run? Hunt them down and kill them in cold blood? Nada. No go for me.

Punching out the punch card as he gets fired? What the hell for?

His mother? Sure she may have allowed her boyfriend to abuse him, causing his issues, but that doesn't give him the right to smother her.

The person who gave him a gun. Sure it did come in handy in self defense(though it did cost him his job). But to murder him brutally because he came into the house to talk about collaborating so their alibis were sound? God, no.

The person who invited him on TV to mock him? Seriously? Is getting mocked worth killing for? Not to mention the guy getting him on TV was also putting his reputation at stake, to get a relative unknown on the TV show.

And certainly not the psychiatrist he was seeing at the end of the movie - he walked out with bloody footprints.

Sorry. I couldn't really talk about it without spoilers. Maybe you can read after you watch, or if you don't mind being spoilt, go ahead and read.

I will wait.

Killswitch Engage - This is Absolution
I'm Not Trading - Sunna
The Only - Static-X
New Noise - Refused
Everything Zen - Bush
Open Your Eyes - Guano Apes
Harsh Generation - Grendel
Small Town Boy - Paradise Lost

MMM Static-X. Good stuff. I miss Wayne Static.

You threw me off with the bush one since you reversed the name and song. I have their 16 stones CD. Was actually a little disappointed since almost every song on the album already gets played on the radio (back when I listened to the radio.) to death was hoping for some hidden gems.

Wreath of barbes - :Wumscut:
Come On Down - Zeal & Ardor
Dying Breed - Five Finger Death Punch
Enter Vril-ya - Therion
I Cry - Lamb
You Can't Stop me - Guano Apes
Forgotten Tears - Hocico

Altough I dont understand your comment about Bush? Everything Zen is a song by the band Bush.

So you typed Killswitch engaged first then put their song
but then for Static-X and bush you put the song then the band so the changing of format confused me for a moment.

Also I have never heard of Guano apes but that name is something. Although isn't guano exclusively bat droppings?

Also Paizo is being a pain this morning.

Squeezed in a final run before I fly

This time with some pre emotive stretching, my knee only started complaining after 19km.

For me if you're asking me for my favorite metal bands, goes like this:

Metallica, Lamb of God, Black Sabbath, Manowar, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Killswitch Engage, Shadows Fall and Disturbed. (I know not all Disturbed is metal but enough of it is!)

You want specific songs....that's going to take longer.

(Also yes, I miss Wayne Static and thus Static - X)

I checked out guano ape. I liked open your eyes.

Yelp Thomas I like everything up their. You listen to Sabaton at all?

Saw the Joker movie. I think it is a bit over hyped. I think Joaquin phoenix's performance was excellent but that's really the only thing I have to say about it. I don't think Joker should be a sympathetic character.

I do have a theory why people are complaining about the violence of that movie when I have seen way more violent movies. It's because it's violence against the rich and all those "Kill the rich signs" Reporters etc. are probably getting a lot of pressure from their rich bosses to disparage the movie.
