I wanted to write a book...but I can't seem to stay focused for long periods of time to do it...

But I can at least enjoy life now with Youtube music and still post.

Ever since I was a kid I thought I wanted to write. But whenever I try to make a serious attempt at it I immediately begin to suffer panic attacks and really deep, dark depression. Many of my friends really want me to write something but if it makes me sick, even physically ill at times, I won't do it.

Tuesday is World vegetarian day!

I definitely could keep myself happy while vegetarian, but the problem is for getting proteins, meats still give better for their calories. Else you'd be eating tau kwa all day.

Yes, yes. Consume your greens and your fruits, pathetic apes. Fatten yourselves up for our eventual feast!

Say what?

We're going to eat you. It's not a difficult concept.

I know apes aren't particularly intelligent but I figured you weren't quite this slow.

It'a all about that food chain yo.

The food chain is what I beat you with until you give me food.

The food chain is overpowered. I'm gonna nerf its damage, make it an exotic proficiency, and using it it is a full-round action.

Lol

So I'm trying to think of some non-combat challenges for my party that can fit into my dungeon. Anyone know any good references?

You come to two doors, each with an identical guardian hamatula in front of it.

The one on the right is an independent contractor with a refrigerator-sized box full of loose paper receipts who will let you pass if you can help him prepare the last decade of his taxes for his upcoming audit in Dis.

The one on the left is a timeshare salesman for condos in Florida who wants you to sit through a "brief" sales presentation.

A contest to see who can bring the most rubble from a dangerous hillside down upon themselves using only a tubafour.

Tubafour?

A four-wheel drive tuba?

Vidmaster7 wrote:

Wooden sousaphone.

(See, tubafour is a combination of tuba and two-by-four.)

Could be a legit bard weapon. They don't like my music? fine *hits them in the head with a board*

I went for a long run. Then I had toasted salmon on a bed of asparagus and mushroom, topped with butter and diced tomatoes.

Unfortunately I was so rungry that I didn't manage to restrain myself for good pics and only took it after some of it had been eaten

Note to self, make sure salmon covers asparagus or it gets chewy and dry.

Then I made a new variant of zucchini boat with five spice salt, but think the chicken could use more of that five spice salt.

You could cook the asparagus seperatly or put it in a little later. I wouldn't cook the salmon on it if it were me anyways. Mushrooms were probably fine that way. Did you bake or broil?

The Exchange

Bake. The asparagus that was under the salmon was fine, but the parts sticking out got chewy and dry.

When I make salmon I broil it on a pan with a wire rack. For the asparagus also broil with aftr coating with olive oil and what seasoning I want (typically salt pepper garlic and lemon juice). It works out pretty well. Cooks real fast that way too.

Baking salmon seems like it makes the salmon a bit too dry to me.

The Exchange

Salmon was OK actually but I threw a slab of butter on the whole thing. Salmon has its own oils so I was hoping the fish juices would infuse into the asparagus and mushroom. Mushroom definitely yes, asparagus a little iffy.

I sprinkled rosemary, oregano, salt on the mushrooms and asparagus. Then shook black pepper over everything. The salmon was pre seasoned with salt, rosemary and oregano.

I cooked the salmon for 20 min, threw diced tomatoes on, put it in for another 5 min before taking out everything to nom.

Lemon juice is good for fish, but what am I going to do with the extra juice lol.

The Exchange

The setup looked like this

The tomatoes are throwing me but I don't like raw tomato only care for them cooked in other things so I couldn't really gauge that part.

So no garlic at all?

No. I don't know if it'd fit and all plus garlic can have a rather strong flavour that may overpower the oregano and rosemary.

Chestnut Hotdog is a Country & Western singer.

I had salmon last night. Tonight was Bulgarian spiced ground chuck that we had as hamburgers. It was...okay...but I think it works better as meatballs. But I could just be a heathen.

Also for Vegetarian Day, I plan on finishing off some green bell peppers.

Finally, writing doesn't make me nervous so much as I feel like I will never be as good as the other people I know that write for a living.

You're never going to be a Vonnegut or a Twain or a Monte Cook (or Jim Theis or Bulwer-Lytton), because we already had/have them. But you, you're the only one of you there is; no one else can speak with your voice and tell your stories. So don't be afraid to write. The more you write, the better you'll get at it

I hope so Ambrosia. I used to think I had a gift...but it's been so long since I did it...I keep wondering if it's still there.
