Sale price not showing in cart

Customer Service

I added a bunch of items that show on sale when I look at the item page, but is shows no discount in my cart. I would like to place the order but want to confirm I will get the sale price as listed. Thanks.

Same with a pin for the Acquisitives faction. Issue continues.

Same with PF second edition preorders. Core shows on sale for 50.99, but shows up as 59.99 in cart.

In addition the sub I am starting back up for the ACG keeps changing to the core set. I picked that up locally and want to start with Crimson. Order in my cart is ready to go once all prices are correct for any sale along with the sub starting at the right point. Thanks!

Any official word from Paizo on this? Will the sale prices be in effect? I have a couple items in my cart that are waiting on the resolution of this.

I suspect the problem is due to the Sale Price has been incorrectly added to some products. This was commented by Paizo earlier.

I think most of the items no longer show a Sales Price. Bottom line, it seems the price shown during checkout is correct.

If you don't want to purchase the item with the price shown during checkout, then do not complete the purchase as that will be the price you are charged.

I had this issue where I added three (discounted) items to my basket but when it came to checkout, the items were the full price.

The problem isn't that the checkout procedure is incorrect, the problem is that some items are shown with discounted prices when they shouldn't be.

And that is what's commonly know as false advertising. I've been experiencing the same problem too. They really should clarify this quickly as falsely advertising products as discounted is not a good look

Except that a Paizo employee has already stated it was a bug that caused the incorrect prices to be displayed.

If you want to call him a lair, fair enough but I prefer to assume it was an honest mistake and wasn't done intentionally.

Plus, I know the few cases I've looked at, the prices are now correct so they've fixed the bug at least a day ago. But I haven't checked every single item in the Paizo store to ensure all the prices are now correct.

I think the only issue is greedy people want to get those sales price back so they can purchase stuff on the cheap. "Hey, how dare you fix the problem, I haven't had a chance to buy at the cheaper, incorrect price!"

This is uncalled for, and rude. The situation was confusing, and the statement by the software developer was somewhat vague. IMO a customer service rep should have commented on this with an official statement, as several customers ran into it.

In general (at least in the US), when a company advertises a price, they often honor that price even if it's a mistake. I'm not saying Paizo should do that in this case, but this is the what Bacchreus is referring to.

I'm not sure if putting an item into your online cart is considered "making an offer".

Again, I'm not saying Paizo should take any action beyond issuing a clarifying statement, but it's reasonable to bring this up, and doesn't make someone "greedy".

I missed the smiley face, does that help :)

I raised a post in the forum when it happened, so I was one of those "greedy people" wanting my cheap stuff!

The issue occurred on 4th July. I think it would be unreasonable to think that Paizo would be instantly available on a Public Holiday. The issue was quickly cleared up and the site no longer shows discounted prices (at least none of the items I've looked at have discounted prices so it's a non-issue now).

Yes, a smiley face helps. :) Hard to determine tone/intent with bare text. Apologies for jumping on you.

IMO they probably shouldn't push out a software update to their website just before a holiday (or weekend) just in case something like this happens. But that's neither here nor there.

I'm going to go ahead and purchase the items in my cart (at full price), as it appears this was all a mistake having to do with subscription pricing getting confused in the system.

Paizo Employee Customer Service Representative

Hello,

This was brought up to the webstore team and the tech team yesterday morning when folks got into the office. They got the bug fixed pretty quickly. If you do see this happening on any items please let us know.
