Well then it is possible it has only been my experience. Thinking back, I mostly have attempted to use that site from my local gaming store while doing PFS. It could merely be that the store's wifi sucked.

They've reworked their database to fix those issues: you can look up spells, for instance, without the noticeable delay that it used to have. If you haven't tried it in a while, I'd suggest you give it a try again and give it spin.

Something with cache limits made some sections of the site slow down the later in the day it was do to prior traffic: I don't recall the exact specifics. I just know that they fixed all the issues I used to have earlier in the year.

So, I won a giveaway on the twitch stream for some books, and I've got a pass for a pop-up gencon thing at my local game store where I can get 20% off the books, and I'm not canceling the deluxe preorders I had...

I'm so excited I might need to lay down.

Haha, I believe that is worthy of Critical Role :)

So, how many hours/minutes/seconds until I can purchase my PDF version of the first two books of 2nd Edition? Do we have an official countdown? I'm in Italy, GMT+2, when will I be able to throw my hard earned coins at my computer's screen and get what I want?

I see that we missed by several hours the "less than 30 hours" milestone.

Yeah, but when will I be able to buy my PDFs? The waiting is killing me!

My guess would be the same time the rules show up on the AON 2e website, 7:00 AM pacific time, which at the time of writing this is 4 hours and 14 minutes from now if i'm not mistaken

11:30 pm in my spot of the Wonderful Land of Oz (and yes Australia does have a 1/2 hour offset timezone; it is strange)

Silver Crusade

Down to 3 hours.

Over here it will be release on my lunchtime.

Dark Archive

That’s 11 PM for me. It has been a long day

Release is 2 in the blasted am here in NZ. Eh, it may take some time and consideration of the rules on AoN before I buy anyway.

Btw, regarding the PDFs - once you buy them, do you get access to updated ones as errata comes out? Just wondering

I have to wait two and half hours more - 12:00 pm is the time set for the brazilian release.

Whoever predicted a disaster on the site was completely wrong. It took me less than 2 minutes to buy, pay, and download. Delighted!

That was the case for everything first edition that got errata. Don't think it will change with second edition.

They moved the digital downloads part into "the cloud"! It's all running on AWS at this point (from what I can tell) and they can scale everything up massively for days like this where they're going to be slammed.

RPG Superstar 2010 Top 32

Yeah, moving the heavy load to AWS was the best tech decision they've ever made, I think.

AoN seems to be holding up well too. Good job tech people!
