Rules Questions

So I had a campaign idea based around the Orbs of Dragonkind based loosely off of the Infinity Gauntlet. There would be a “dragon gauntlet” that houses 5 of the orbs (either chromatic or metallic but not both) However each orb weighs 5 LBS.

While I know dragons would ally to stop this non dragon from as it is an abomination for a lesser being to enslave dragons. The Villain is able to obtain all the orbs of a certain set.

Some questions being can the orbs be resized to fit? Would the bonuses stack for holding all 5? More may come with discussion.

This sounds far more suitable for the advice forum.

He is asking for specific rules on how possessing multiple orbs would work. That is a rules question.

There is certainly precedent for magic items resizing, most worn items do so automatically. I'd probably have it be a property of the Gauntlet, rather than the orbs itself.

The AC and Save bonuses wouldn't stack, you would just get whichever was best between the orbs you had, or possibly whichever was acquired last (when you get one, it replaces). The other powers would each be available (a black and red orb would give you 3 fire breaths and 3 acid breaths for example.)

I figure a flat stacking would be no but maybe a +1 to ac/saves per orb is not unreasonable.

You could of course design the gauntlet to do whatever you want it to do. That is out of the scope of a rules question though.

Fair and valid point
