Cleave and Cleaving finish

Rules Questions

Hello. If I have Cleave and Cleaving Finish feats, can I use them in the same round or do I have to choose one?
I have read that Cleave can not be used in full-attack, can Cleaving Finish be used in full-attack?
Thank you.

Cleaving Finish can absolutely be used with a full-attack, that's the whole point of it.

Using them together ... Well I'll be, apparently you can. So with these 2 feats a level 3 Human Wizard can potentially make 3 attacks in a round at full BAB.

(I also never noticed that Cleaving Finish is less restrictive with enemy positioning than Cleave is, so that's nice too.)

Since we had that topic not long ago, let me copy-paste:

Cleave says "As a standard action", and since a full-attack action uses up the sole standard action you have in a round (plus your move action that round), you can't do both in one round.

Cleaving Finish does not state an action, and thus is a non-action. Not being an action, it cannot possibly clash with other actions, and therefor every "melee attack [that drops your target] to 0 or fewer hit points as a result of your attack" you make qualifies, no matter when or how you make it (it even works when it's not your turn, e.g. with an Attack of Opportunity). Mind the limitation to once per round the feat has.

I would very much advise you to read the "actions in combat" section in the CRB (starting at pg. 181, if you don't have a CRB handy, you can read them here). Note that the standard action called "attack" is not any kind of attack made as a standard action, but it's a distinct standard action. When you use Cleave, you're using a different standard action. Some feats, most notably Vital Strike, specifically ask for "the attack action", and thus can't be used when taking any other kind of action - you couldn't combine Vital Strike with Cleave, nor with any full-attack action or full-round action.
