This thread is for finding and posting spoilers. There is another thread for discussion of those spoilers. Please use it.
I'm not trying to be a jerk, but I'm wading through pages of white noise.
Edit: here is that thread.

Very confirmed! Real cards from goblin con! Trust!

On a more serious note, and hoping Jason has low Perception DC, they're likely fairly close. I had some doubts on #72 being perhaps a high level Sorcerer feat, but we got those from the slides, and #85 is supposedly covering some spellcasting detail such as spellcasting components or similar, but the cards are based on verosimilitude.

My only issue with this is I would prefer people not think we have all of the legit cards and stop searching. Other than that, yes they're well done. If they were just translated into goblin-speak that would be fine too as we could decipher them.
Given the patterns with the rest, you're probably close to right on all of them, but I'm betting we still need the real cards for it to count.

That depends on whether Charming Liar affects developers!

I'm hoping we find the legit versions of that last 7. I'm sure Jason will be happy with the effort we've put forth here, but the deal was for all 100 cards, and obviously we want to have an honest accounting of those.
Besides, Sara Marie and Jason have both checked in to this thread, so RIP any hope of the goblin cards actually fooling anyone lmao.
The sites I've been checking are Facebook, Instagram (so Facebook), and Twitter, but I would imagine a thorough scraping of Tumblr might yield us something. Worth noting also that Myspace and LiveJournal apparently have a combined 47 million users.
I'm tempted to try to dust the cobwebs off my Russian and check VK as well.
Let's hope for some progress

I didn't find any spoilers in the VK. But we are searching too.

So, there were 400 people at the banquet with 4 sets of 100 spoilers handed out, right?
Assuming each individual person had a 50% likelihood of not submitting due to laziness, trusting others to do it, disdain for gamified things, forgetting to take theirs, or just losing it.
That's a ~6.25% for each spoiler number to be totally dead. Over the whole 100 spoilers we would expect to see about 6 missing.
If that 50% likelihood number was correct, we don't deserve the bonus spoiler dump.

Correct. There were four of each spoiler printed. After the banquet, some people were running around and collecting them to take pictures. Some were abandoned at the tables.
If they haven't been posted to social media, it means the recipient took it home as a trophy or binned it afterwards. Which means 28 (4x7) people opted not to play and they hold those cards.
Which probably isn't too bad. If you had 4 flips of a coin and only needed to get heads one time per series to win, you'd probably win almost all of them. Shame we're stuck on seven left and not an "almost there" one.
I tried searching #MyPathfinderSpoiler with various typos to see if I could find it on Twitter and Facebook but no such luck. My social circle aggregated ours together as well as those abandoned to us. I'll keep searching daily to see what I turn up.

Only advantage I see is that it asks them to roll a save which MAY be lower than AC.If you are unlikely to hit because of the multiple attack penalty this is the perfect way to stack some more damage with your third action. Enemies can even critically fail the save, so if you know the victim has low fort and you already attacked twice this is a good option.
Right, most enemies can be reasonably accurately guessed whether they have good Fort Save or not. And another benefit is it would also seem to bypass DR? Also can be good if you are suffering any other attack penalties for whatever reason, or they are suffering Save penalties. But comparison to 3rd attack will be bread and butter of this. Fine by my book, and good showcase of dynamics the system enables.

You have an inborn ability to detect and understand magical phenomena. You can cast the detect magic cantrip as an arcane innate spell at will. A cantrip is heightened to a spell level equal to half your level rounded up.
This made me remember, I wondered how Cantrip Spell Level will interact with things like Globe of Invulnerability (blocking Spells under X level). It would be weird for 3rd level spells to be blocked, but not Cantrips, I'm hoping for language to exclude Cantrips for things like that.
Stuff like "You heal an amount of hp equal to spell level when casting a spell of your school" also seem cheap to stack on Cantrips. It just makes sense that Cantrips=Spells is not such an absolutely hardwired expectation, it can often apply but can also not when appropriate... /shrug

I am sure that they will set things up so that they can go either way, depending on the application. A cantrip of level X is presumably something that a caster with access to level X spells can do at will, all day long if necessary, so it might count as a spell of that level for power level purposes but not for resource expenditure.

At least one of the spoiler cards said something like "When you cast a spell using a spell slot, you get benefit X". That seems like a likely phrasing on anything that would give a lasting benefit (e.g. healing).

I've been digging for a while. I actually scavenged the tables after the banquet to check to see if any had been abandoned at the tables and found surprisingly few. I'm afraid that some may have not been distributed to folks that were as keen on spoilers as the rest of us.
I literally got 77 pictures on my phone (with a few duplicates) of the cards and still don't have these ones. I scoured all of them and numbered with no luck :(
Alas, damn you starfinder only players! (I'm just going to blame them)

It's looking like this math is roughly correct, just based on what's still missing. It might be informative, though, to go through and see how many different pictures of each card got posted. There'll always be the people who didn't post because they saw it was already up, and people who took multiple pictures of their card, but it could provide some constraints around that 50% estimate.

You know, if we know when the deadline is, maybe we should have the transcribed list with those fake spoilers ready just in case, and if the time comes and we don't have them all then we post the list with some notation to make sure it's clear we don't REALLY have them all, and hope he gets enough of a kick out of the effort that he gives us the spoiler dump anyway.
That said, maybe the last six spoilers will come forth in the 11th hour! We can do it!
David knott 242 |
If there were four copies of each of the 100 spoilers and the estimate that half of them would go missing is correct, then the chance that all of the spoilers would be recovered is less than 2%. In fact, somebody calculated that the most likely result would be 6 missing spoilers.
