Stelliferas naming conventions?

General Discussion

Is there a typical naming convention for Stelliferas? The only example I could find was the single NPC named Half Red.

At that point the name could be anything. You could name your stellifera Cinderella and no one short of the devs would be able to argue with you. What source are they going to cite?

As a psychic species it's probably something very colorful and deep being crammed into something short enough for clumsy, inefficient mouth sounds to convey.

As far as I know, Half-Red is the only example we have. With that, and the knowledge that their racial language is comprised of both skin colour changes and mild telepathy, you could extrapolate and brainstorm, though! Names that evoke any combination of colours, visual patterns, and probably emotions, are probably on the right track? Just spit-balling here:
"Sunset With Ease"
"Azure Houndstooth"
"Flashing Crimson"
"White Stripe Blink"

Blurry blue bobert

95% Red 5% Filler.

2 people marked this as a favorite.

In your head: He who contemplates the sad fact that we are all eventually washed up upon the shores of death

In peoples primitive monkey brains: Driftwood

"Sunset on the Beach" . To Land lubbers it sounds like a relaxing vacation. To a Stelliferas it denotes a warrior willing to stand on deaths door till the last second in order to ensure victory.

His older and even crazier brother sex on the other hand had their name even more garbled in translation....

Haha, I love it :D
Stelliferan: One Who Shouts Defiance At The Surface, Expelling Skygas with Great Force
Common: "Mr. Bubbles"
