To puck,

"Oh, I'll need more accusers to use as messengers. I'm sure you'll get some that are competent enough to carry a letter. "

Male Dragonborn Undying Mayor

@Vaklam: Yes you can

Leonard

"Oh yes, that should be simple enough for even the most weedy idiot that gets turned into something they don't want to be" Puck smiles.

"Would you like to maybe barter for something else that might help you too, I will go lenient on our deal as I of course have been a terrible host and I do apologize."

Min

I don't get what you mean by the second casting of illusory script.

First question: It is and is not, it is guarded.

You prepare the rings and paper with no issue.

It isn't a new dramatic day yet but will be when you all decide to go off on a major plan together. So you shouldn't worry if you don't have enough slots for combat for example.

Male Samsarans dual cursed oracle/Wizard(for-sight) 5/ arcane savant 3

Illusory Script can implant a suggestion into someones mind that lasts 30 minutes. For the second illusionary script I was thinking that my agents if interrupted at there jobs could flash that and get some breathing room. For example say they were kidnapping someone and some bystanders saw and were about to get involved they could show that to supplement/replace a intimidate. There might be a better way to word it, but I was not thinking that well right then

Second question
is the book of infinite planes in the possession of an organization of greater then 10 individuals?
it would be hard to protect a large organization form divination...except by a witches coven.

AC 20, touch 12, flat-footed 14 (+2 Dex, +1 natural, +4 Mage Armor+3 Shield); Init +4; Fort +9, Ref +7, Will +11;

Leonard thinks for a moment.
"Erinynes could be useful. they take great pleasure in destroying holy things. Hells, give them the opportunity and they might even do it for free. "

"a few Faceless could be useful for going behind enemy lines and thinning the herd from inside. "

"The standard Bearded devil or Domination devils could act as elite troops.

"A couple squads of Gaav's and Magaav's would also make good elite troops. "

"Or of course anything sufficiently powerful/overpowerful such as Ice devils would always be welcome."

"Of course more imps are always useful, but less so than the others."

Looking to Kodo and Podo, "Not you of course. You're quite useful, but others of your kind are not so fortunate."

"I'm sure there are more that could be useful if you have any suggestions, but those are the ones that come to mind."

Male Dragonborn Undying Mayor

Min

I know what illusory script does however I don't get what you meant by your second phrase. "The is not worth getting invoked with"? What does that mean, invoked with what?

Answer to the second question: Yes

I forgot to add the Pugwampi as an additional unit but they will be added in a bit.

Leonard

"Hmmm, you ask a lot. Some of those would be hard for me to control in the current state but over time that is agreeable. How about we strike a deal to reinstate some of your lost accusers for simple tasks, some imps and the Erinynes. The Erinyes like you rightly put will not need much convincing, the others might but I'm sure when you have the credentials proven by conquest the others should fold shortly after." Puck says smiling all the while.

It will be a Kaching check of 3+2 (2 for Puck feeling generous after his forces abysmal run.) It will be a check of 2d6 and will gain you a set of Accusers though these won't be enough to form a unit. Enough to do simple teleportation tasks without getting themselves killed. A group of helper imps that will form a unit but are not all that powerful. Lastly a group of Erinynes.

Would you like to do this Ka-ching check on your own or would you like to get someone to aid you?

Also what was the final verdict in terms of gaining some themed forces between Leonard and Min? Was it some succubi and spies?

After sending out his exploration teams, Vaklam issues a proclamation in Enoch and the surrounding towns.

"Any and all capable persons, who wish to serve His Royal Majesty Most High Sorcerer in all the Land Sir Vaklam and the Glorious and Resplendent Kingdom of Enoch, make haste to the Capitol to take part in a special ritual!!!"

Once any arrive, they are given the following choice from Vaklam "Give up your weak, mortal forms and join the ranks of my undead shadow army. If you do, you may keep any and all property you own, and your family will be officially protected from any rampages from the Undying who serve me. OR my sister can cut you down where you stand, your homes and belongings will be sized for my personal use and your families will join the ranks of my army"

Those who accept will be transformed into Shadows. Those who refuse will also be transformed into Shadows, but their families will be killed and turned into lesser undead, like skeletons or zombies.

AC 20, touch 12, flat-footed 14 (+2 Dex, +1 natural, +4 Mage Armor+3 Shield); Init +4; Fort +9, Ref +7, Will +11;

I don't understand the KaChing check thing. I guess I can send a quick message to the others and explain what I'm doing and what kind of assistance I need.

To my knowledge there is no verdict on the Leonard/Min themed forces. However, As long as he's sending messages he'll send Min a quick note to see if wants to help get some Succubi spies.

Sorry for the long absence in posting, was watching the other posts and didn't have any ideas yet to make real post yet.

Besides the stealing supplies mission of the new dragonborn unit, The Shard will inquire about and explore the surrounding lands around Roquefort. He will specifically pay attention to any signs/rumours and gossip pertaining skilled specialist fighters like samurai, battle monks or other ninja groups besides mine.

Also listening for the same, regarding 'half-folk' like rat-folk, kitsune, and other animal-humanoid races in the surrounding lands. I'd like to attract more people to my city and dojo, hopefully creating some more vanguard units in the process that can hold a battleline.

Male Samsarans dual cursed oracle/Wizard(for-sight) 5/ arcane savant 3

@ smokey should be "This is not worth getting involved with" sorry

@Leonard I would like to have Succubi, but I those are demons not devils. What I really want are a bunch of high charisma intelligence agents to spend all this counter feit money I am producing effectivly before the enemy catches wind. I figured you could help me with that.

AC 20, touch 12, flat-footed 14 (+2 Dex, +1 natural, +4 Mage Armor+3 Shield); Init +4; Fort +9, Ref +7, Will +11;

@ Min, If you think of any devils that fill that criteria let me know.

Male Dragonborn Undying Mayor

@Leonard: The Kaching checks is your base Kaching 3 (1 from the start of the game +2 due to you gaining one recently and you have Rolling in money trait) then +2 from Puck. For a total of a Kaching score of 5. The difficulty is 2d6 where I roll 2d6 and if it rolls 5 or under it succeeds. You of course can get other evil men to join you thus increasing the number. If the number equals 12 it auto passes as I can't roll over that on 2d6.

@The shard: Ok when I do the week update I'll tell you what you find

@Vaklam:

Many of the people afraid of what would happen to their families step up. There is a decent amount of people that do not however. No matter to you they are all turned into shadows and you kill off some of their families. The remaining surviving families have grown scared and have shut themselves away. Afraid that similar fates shall befall them.

In game terms, you've gained a unit of shadows and a unit of lesser undead. However unrest is amassing in your town from the living members.

I think the Shard would see the benefits of new units of devils to inquire about Varien's activities. I don't think Leonard would have to try hard to convince the Shard to help him out. Add my Friends in the Right Places bonus to it, +2 to the Ka-Ching pool for that roll.

Smokey, How much would it be to add one or both of those to the list since we're pooling resources?

Since its for the benefit of the entire empire, Vaklam will add in as well. I do not think I ever picked a Ka-Ching feat/bonus thing, as I wasn't sure which one fit Vaklam's concept best.

Male Dragonborn Undying Mayor

@Leonard: Can add a bit more with all of you helping out without increasing the rarity. Adding bone devils should be fine. With the amount helping now the check has reached 12 which I can't roll above so new units inbound.

"Ah you are most kind Leonard, I sure hope we do business again. I feel that the tides of war will soon be in your favour." Puck smiles, he summons a missive that he writes it and it bursts into flames. Presumably a form of sending ritual. He then picks up the stick and peers into the meat at the end of it.

"I shall leave you with this, a bargain's cost leaves a maid lost. The death of one held dear, spurs the hunter's fear." Puck chuckles.

"Let that help you in what's to come." He then ushers you away.

The missions I want are
I want the spy master to investigate the covens and I assume the recent string of murders.
I assigned the spy Saboteurs to spread the Bubonic Plague Dros Darnell (however they are free to spread a bit around on the way). I don't expect this to bring the city to it's knees just tie up a lot of resources and hamer productivity. I am hoping that all the Cleric in the kingdom will go there to deal with the problem getting them out of the way they have been a pain. I am going to cast contagion on a dead body a get the Bubonic Plague and cultivate it in petri dishes so every day the accusers can transport some over for the Saboteurs to spread.

Can you tell me the mission difficulty for both of these missions?

male Humen lv 4 Computer scientist

I made some mistacks in the last post
I ment spread the Bubonic Plague "in" Dros Darnell

also it's "hamper" productivity

Male Dragonborn Undying Mayor

Will update units tonight GMT sorry been a bit busy. Afterwards I will get to writing down what happens in the world this week.

Investigating Coven: 3 (I)
Distracting Bubonic plague: 3 (D)

Male Dragonborn Undying Mayor

Updated the units (The link has been updated too) while an experiment at work was running. I will do a proper update and IC results of missions when I get home from work. Assignment document is up to date as well. Current Missions are:

1 Spymaster: Investigating coven, 3 (I)

1 Spy saboteur: Spreading Bubonic plague, 3 (D)

1 Vampire Elite: Diplomatic mission, 2(E)

1 Dragon Raiding party: Investigating animals in the ranks, 3(I)

1 Devil Elite: Investigating Eladrin, 2(I)

Male Samsarans dual cursed oracle/Wizard(for-sight) 5/ arcane savant 3

I also would like to start making those tanks this week. If the tanks are hemispheres on top of floating disks then they would have a diameter of 3 feet just enough for a spell caster to be sitting in it with crossed legs. The shell would then have a surface area of 14.1372 square feet. A cubic foot of steel weighs 489.024lb. Cubic inch weighs 0.283lb/in^3. Modern day vehicle armor plate is a 1/4 thick. A knights full plate is 1mm-2mm thick.

By math the shells should weigh 14.1372*((489.02/12)/4)/4=144.8286. Which is alot less then I was expecting maybe we should make them thicker. Of course my math might be wrong anyone care to check it?
I want to make at least 3 of these more would be better for having spares. Should have eyes holes are eye level for the caster to cast though with a flap to close it.

Min can make the plans himself
engineering: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (8) + 12 = 20+2 for using masterwork tools
Want to make the shell out of 50 pound parts that can be easily bolted together. Should make repair easy as well.

edit:so that great, still a nice result. By the way I like the pugwhampi where made into a unit cleaver way to do the un-luck. I would like to move the pugwhampi to the front. Next week I plan on going to the front myself with anyone else who wants to come. Right now we have the advantage time to press it. @Vaklam: I suggest you bring your Vampire elite along with their at will save or mind-control domination will be a great combo for the pugwhampi's unluck. Also you might like the tanks.

Male Dragonborn Undying Mayor

Investigating Eladrin, Difficulty 2(I)

4d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 2, 6) = 16 2 Mission rating, +4 Success.

The Devils spend some time surveying the Eladrin wondering what they are up to. Copying down their notes for later translation and following what they are doing. The devils find out that the Eladrin are interested in the portal in the city. They have been very careful with their work but the Devils manage to spot them anyway. They are most interested with how it functions.

Investigating Animals in the ranks, Difficulty 3(I)

3d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 5) = 11 3 Mission rating, +2. Success.

The Dragonborn successfully go through the ranks looking around for interesting animals that the enemy might have. The most interesting animal that the enemy has griffons. They seem to be supporting most of their mechanical infantry with aerial fighters. The Dragonborn are able to wrangle a pair of Griffons back home.

While there they look around for rarer creatures. What they do find an occasional psion mind controlling a specimen. These include Quetzalcoatlus and Megaloceros.

Diplomatic mission, Difficulty 2(E).

4d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 6, 2) = 16 2 Mission rating, +4. Success.

The vampires go to each area and find that many of the villages around there have been hiding for quite some time. Even when the Kalvian nomadic empire was still in full force. The villagers are wary at first but the vampires use their wit and powers to integrate themselves to gain the information they need. They find that each town guards a single castle, these castles aren't even entered by the villagers. The myth is that they are haunted and protected by Raziel's men. Out of respect or perhaps fear none of the villagers enter the castles. This sounds like Raziel has protected his artefacts from theft however for how long?

Spreading Bubonic plague, Difficulty 3(D)

4d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 1, 1) = 12 5 Mission rating, +0. Success.

The spies manage to get far enough into enemy territory without getting themselves discovered. With their new found leader they seem to be fairing far better. They plant the plague, the trap is set. As predicted this does not cause the city to fall however many of the front line clerics or healers have been forced to fall back for damage control.

Investigating coven, Difficulty 3(I)

4d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 1, 1) = 13 6 Mission rating, -2. Success.

The spy masters are investigating the murders thoroughly. The witches might be good but they're better. The coven has managed to hide themselves fairly well but not the damage they cause. With each new murder the spy masters get closer to their goal. Eventually pin pointing a front runner base. It probably isn't where all the coven is hiding but it is a location of at least some of them. Maybe capturing and questioning is in order?

At the front

escalation: 1d6 ⇒ 3

The front is starting to break, one final push and you can break through. However it can be noted many of the armies are pulling out and setting up further back. It looks like they are trying to go for a divide and conquer route. Much of their reinforcements have been helping the back line set this up.

The Shard

knowledge nobility: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7

To the far west you hear that a group of ronin are seeking Skilgannon. Apparently they believe they have heard of his whereabouts in the mountain range. His weapon strikes were seen on ogrekin or so the ronin believe. They are on a quest to find and fight him. Beyond that however is is unclear. Some say they left the forest, some say from the sea to the west. No two rumours seem to corroborate their starting point or who these ronin are.

Survival: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (15) + 14 = 29

On the other hand you manage to hear of a tribe of Kitsune fighting off a group of goblins in the swamps. The goblins swim in the swamps with large frogs springing out and taking out Kitsune. The Kitsune have been on the run for a while from the tracks you have been finding. Though you have predicted where they will be within a few days. Maybe you can intersect them?

Min

You can make easily dome shaped things by the end of the week. However it is only you working on it, mass production for less skilled people you suspect would take them a longer though they can produce many in tandem. Min figures if he wants them easily bolted together it would have many structural weak points (the points wehre they connect) but are easy to move. On the other hand making them more complex and protected will take a lot of time. You can see a trade off in each.

Male Samsarans dual cursed oracle/Wizard(for-sight) 5/ arcane savant 3

Min decides to make them in pieces bolted together, but to have two domes per disk that way the weakness can be overlapping.

Here's a picture , but metal and bolted instead of clamped. Also has a peek hole flap on one piece.

Now Min is seeing is reaching a point of indecision. Should he go to the front and press the advantage while the iron's hot or should he go and capture those witches while he has a chance. Sense he is going to need help for ether action...What do you guys want to do?

I guess we should purchase some long distance communication artifacts to speed it up.

Vaklam will find a message returning later, probably the day the others might show up.
Vaklam I don't have any time now to go cross-countrying to your place. My attention is needed closer to home as I only have a few days to handle it. Good luck on your quest for these 'toys'.

The Shard will try to intercept the fleeing Kitsune and get some information out of them of the whereabouts of the goblins that harass them. He will offer his help and a new place to stay near Roquefort to them, promising he will take care of the goblin problem with their help.

Hopefully they have some fighters of their own. The Shard travels with Korina, Pytha-Gora and a few retainers of his castle, not wanting to leave his town without any guards unless he needs to.

In the swamp

The shard arrives at the edge of the swamp with his two companions and finds that it isn't hard at all to track down the last sign of a scuffle. Moving ahead he tries to find what is going on, he eventually finds a place deeper in the swamp that on one back has a travelling village of Kitsune. They seemed poised and ready to defend themselves, from the goblins no doubt. A cursory glance of the area reveals that the goblins aren't here or at least not in plain sight. Hiding perhaps though again surveying the immediate area it isn't behind bushes or in trees. The goblins might even be far away, even after the minutes tick away there is no ambush. So what could the Kitsune be afraid off?

Diabolocus

The capital is as bustling and as crazy as ever. Min and Leonard have been giving the location of their target by Min's Spy masters. The pair of them are currently near to the building, discretely surveying it from afar. The building is nondescript as they expect. However it is very odd, only one exit seems apparent. No windows, just an entrance door. Rumours of some Witch magic requires them to be in the dark. Doubtful, it is likely that it is to keep prying eyes away. Both Min and Leonard know however there could be secret doors more importantly maybe the Witches have capabilities to teleport. Whatever their escape plan they would be sure to use it with the overlords on their tails. What are the overlords to do, discuss the plan of action? Or mosey on in?

In a village

Vaklam, I am not sure if you yourself want to go deal with one of the castles but if you do feel free to read the following spoiler

Vaklam:

The village is a peaceful place, though it feels so detached. Away from the worries of the world, it is hidden amongst trees very well. Looking from all directions you couldn't tell it was there except if you were to fly above it. The people of the town while welcoming are foreign even to Vaklam. They held no Kalvian views, no Kalvian heritage. It is off putting that such a seclusion leaves them so alien.

A village crier gives Vaklam leave to the castle. The castle is no bigger than a keep but it is perhaps the most beautiful thing here. The stonework is without equal, the defenses look to be in the best condition, the metal for the portcullis shined to a perfection. Truly for a place dead to the world it is so well kept. Perhaps ghosts from ages past, though Vaklam is used to their company. Cruel irony, if places close to Raziel's heart fell to undead. First things, first though. The portcullis is down and no-one inside to greet their most important guest.

I would suggest that they turn invisible, teleport in and dimensional anchor everything in sight. Right after they teleport in we burst in the front door to provide support. Hopefully we will lock them down before they have a chance to get away. I doubt they will be expecting it, nobody ever expects the Osyluth inquisition. However, just in case we should place watchers around the building a rather good depth just in case any of them manages to get off a Dimension Door.

The Swamp

The Shard, Korina and Pytha-Gora approach the edgy Kitsune cautiously. Shard waves his katana high up and calls out to them.

"HELLO!! I'm not here to fight you, I'm here to help!"

If they let the group approach he will ask a few questions

"I thought you were fleeing from the goblins, however I can't see any of them. They aren't hiding behind bushes or trees, so what are you so vigilant for?
How long have you been fighting these goblins? Is there something you could tell me about them to give us an edge in a fight?"

For good measure Perception: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (11) + 14 = 25

Goblins that can not be seen:
"Mr Goblin would you stand up please?" *quiet* "Mr Goblin has learned the first rule of not being seen, NOT to stand up, however he has chosen an obvious piece of cover." * Explosion* *goblin squeals*

"The Bone devils are able to cast dimensional anchor at will. Also they can greater teleport and turn invisible.

Leonard relays those orders to the troops.

The troops are ready for whatever plan you have cooked up, as far as they are concerned it's go in and anchor everything they can. There are watchers posted around the towers and will contact the pair by telepathy if they here anything. How shall the trap unfold?

The swamp

One of the Kitsune looks up "Really? Are they gone?! I don't know they usually crop up out of the water or are the trees themselves! Last time we lowered our guard they attacked in droves. You might be the goblins! Are you?!" The Kitsune yells in exasparation.

One of the others leans over and says "They can't look like that, only trees and underwater remember?"

The first Kitsune is almost in tears "We thought that when we only thought they could swim. Then they turned into trees, now they could be crippled rats. That's what!"

The other one sighs and keeps his guard. The shard begins to wonder how long the Kitsune have been harassed possibly ages.

"well before we start we might as well do a bit of buffing"

If there are no objections
I cast Arcane Concordance set to lengthen
then Mage Armor
Nondetection
Overland flight
Circle of protection chaos
Freedom of Movement
Summon Monster 3 to summon a Lantern archon (nice that wizards don't have to worry about the alignment of spells and that summons have to obey)
Haste (on me and Leonard as well as 5 Bone devils and the Lantern archon)

Now I'm ready for bear let's go. (Leonard you might want to buff too)
Too bad I don't know hex ward this would have been the perfect time for it.

As soon as the Bone devils are hasted they should teleport in and anchor every living thing they can see. We start banging down the door. Leonard do you happen to know Knock?
