Does Acid Jet(Su), the arcane exploit, get bonuses from Point-Blank Shot?

Rules Questions

The relevant text is Acid Jet lets you make a "ranged touch attack", however Point-Blank Shot only applies to "ranged-weapons". To the researched observer, one would initially think Acid Jet is "weapon-like", but while I could find rules establishing weapon-like spells, Acid Jet is not a spell, it's a supernatural ability. I could not find anything that said ranged attacks(touch or otherwise) from a supernatural ability is considered weapon-like...so the answer would then be no? However to complicate things the book that establishes the rules for weapon-like spells was made before the Arcanist, so this could simply be an oversight in the rules?

Right now the formal ruling seems to be no, but that seems so counter intuitive and backwards that I feel like I must be missing something.

Nope. Spells, spell like abilities, and SU abilities are not Weapons. Feats that specify they affect weapons do not work on spells unless there is a specific exception in the feat.

What confuses the issue a bit is that Weapon Focus allows rays to enjoy that bonus. But this is an exception that the feat explicitly allows.

Then there is the bit about Touch Attacks described in Magic with Rays described just a bit farther down. Both mention being treated as weapons, but only for the purposes of being able to score a critical hit.

Ranged touch attacks can be modified by Point Blank Shot and Precise Shot.

It's generally understood that ranged casters will want to get precise shot if they're lowish on dex, or they regularly fight high touch AC enemies.

@Meirril, Spells that have a ranged touch attack component ARE considered "weapon-like", and thus do get to use Point-Blank shot and similar effects. While it was a b$*+! to find, I finally found this in a physical book my GM has, expanded arcane or something.

The question is are Super Natural abilities with a ranged touch attack component also considered weapon like.

@WaterLethe, That talks about SPELLS, not Super Natural abilities. I have found nothing that says that "Ranged touch attacks" in general can use Point Blank Shot, because a "Ranged touch attack" is not a ranged Weapon.

It is a ranged touch attack, which is a ranged attack. PBS and precise shot apply to ranged attacks, so they apply to ranged touch attacks.

@Java Man, no, PBS : Benefit: You get a +1 bonus on attack and damage rolls with ranged weapons at ranges of up to 30 feet.

It applies to ranged weapons, not ranged attacks. If there is a ruling that all ranged attacks are considered "ranged weapons" then this would be solved. And while I have found rulings that say spells that use ranged attacks are considered "weapon-like", and thus get the feats, I have not found such a ruling for super natural abilities.
