Hexcrafter magus with a dip in occultist?

Advice

So have to have this character ready by tomorrow..was leaning towards occultist or a shaman..but curious if I could go a little of both. Basically the idea is one level of occultist for transmutation and legacy weapon. After that just hexcrafter magus..basically sprinkle debuffs where needed and the go in with bane..With spell combat I would basically be hitting twice per round with bane for a minute. Not sure if it is worth it but sounds like a cool idea

Huh nothing?

It could work, I can see the appeal, but it needs a round to set-up. I'd wait till after level 5 for the dip (some hexes get better at level 5). I don't think it's worth it just for legacy weapon, but you also get essentially a second stat-belt out of the transmutation resonant power.

What other implement aould you choose? I'm still not quite convinced it's a good dip, but you could get something else that makes it worthwhile?

Was thinking maybe just conjuration to gain healing spells on my list for wands. It's not much but in PFS it can be a life saver. Yeah figured have a str belt until I can afford it and then go either dex or con for a freebee. Legacy weapon has a bunch of options namely getting bane on demand. Need to make a decision in a couple hours might just go hexcrafter for the moment.

Sadly the character wasn't complete, but I still played it and he did ok..mainly played him as a occultist and carried a shield but heck at level 2 doing +6 hit and 1d6+7 and on the last fight adding +2 and 2d6+2..he did pretty well even though I didn't use anything magus related.

I think at level 3 is where he will start to really move...with spell combat and spell strike he will be hitting twice per round not counting the spell that he casts...it makes the bane add on even more useful. Granted it will be level 6 until enchant weapon comes online but honestly he will be doing serious damage pretty early on.

I'm not sure if conjuration is the best route, but in PFS a wand of cure is always nice to use.

Hexes will be a nice option as he levels up.

I was trying to get a shaman to work but it just wasn't doing what I wanted and while I liked the occultist, I felt they missed something. So this was my alternative. I'm not a huge magus fan...mainly due to burst damage, I like my divine favor and hit hard the whole encounter..this actually does it for me :)
