if I pre-order, does it charge me now or when the product ships? I havent pre-ordered in a while.
If you're a subscriber and add it to your sidecart, they don't place a hold on funds at all when you order, just when it ships.
I believe that if you're a subscriber who places a preorder and sets it up to have it shipped individually then Paizo will ping your card with a preauthorisation when you place the order, but that will expire in a few days.
Either way, the system won't actually charge properly until the product ships - although those authorisations can look exactly like a charge, depending on your bank.

Exactly what Steve said! We only charge for items when they ship. When you place your order, your card may be authorized to ensure that it is valid, and your bank may place a hold on the funds for a few business days. We won't actually finalize any transactions until the order is on its way to you.
