I don't think that's a thing.
If you wanted to try it anyway, it'd be extremely situational and subject to GM fiat. For example, if a player at my table grasped a flail-head-sized rock with their whip and tried to attack with it, I'd treat the result as an improvised flail that would likely detach into rock and whip after the first strike.

In this scenario, I am the GM. I'm just accustomed to playing with Rules Lawyers and Power Gamers, so I wanted to make sure that what I was doing had a solid foundation upon which to rely.

First off Catch Off Guard to get over the Improvised Weapon bit. Then also look to the sling Feat Sling Flail which lets you hold the ammo of a sling in the leather cup and wield the device like a flail. Using these 2 Feats you could device a mechanic by which a player could consistently use their whip to take hold of an object and wield it at the Reach of a whip.
