Share the Wealth Boon help

So I have a Share the wealth boon. I then have a chronicle that gives me access to a skill slot and a skill chip from the Campaign Setting: Technology guide.

Now the issue is the skill slot is under the "All sub tiers" at the bottom of the chronicle, but the skill chip itself is at the very top of the chronicle. The shill ship is not listed in All sub tiers or Tier 10-11.

Questions;
1. Can I buy the Skill slot with the character I am applying the Share the Wealth boon to?
2. Can I buy the skill chip with the character I am applying the Share the Wealth boon to?

Skill Chip is a special item that is only available for playing that scenario so you cannot give it to another PC. Sooo, in answering your questions...

1) Yes, but probably no point in doing so.

2) No.

I don’t know the chronicle in question, but this confused me. Isn’t the whole function of the share the wealth boon to allow you to give access to an item to a character who didn’t play the scenario? It’s only used on items (or companions depending on the boon) that are unique to having played a scenario.

If a player sat down with said chip, a copy of said chronicle, AND the Boon in question I'd accept it. The amount of work, luck, AND determination to get the combo is enough in my book.

I'll have to read my share the wealth boon, but, I thought you can only share the items found in the subtiers at the bottom of the chronicle. If im wrong, then...Yay!

Well yeah, that seems to be the question. It’s about where the boon appears on the chronicle, not whether or not you only get it from playing that scenario. That’s what was confusing to me about your response. A unique item that appears under the subtiers is “a special item only available for playing that scenario.”

If Share the Wealth specifies that the item has to appear under the subtiers, and it doesn’t, then without clarification, it won’t work for the item.

I’d suggest also maybe posting in the GM Discussion thread for the scenario in question. Often chronicle related questions get answered there. If this was an oversight or just not something that was considered when writing the boon, there’s a chance someone from Paizo might clarify it there.

Share the Wealth (Equipment): In your generosity, you have decided to share your access to rare or unusual items with another Pathfinder agent. To apply this boon, choose a Chronicle sheet that you have applied to one of your characters, then choose one of your other characters. This second character gains access to purchase all non-intelligent items that the first character earned on that Chronicle sheet, as long as the second character's level is not lower than the minimum level of the Subtier that grants access to the item. As the character gains levels, she may gain access to more items.

For example, if the first character played Subtier 8–9 in a Tier 5–9 scenario and grants item access from that Chronicle sheet to a 5th-level character, the second character may purchase items found in Subtier 5–6. When the second character reaches 8th level, she may also purchase items from Subtier 8–9.
Record the character numbers of both characters below, as well as the name of the adventure for which you are sharing item access. Be sure you have access to either the original Chronicle sheet with the shared items or a copy of it when you play the second character.

Now it talks mostly in terms of getting access to items of a particular tier. But it starts out saying that you get access to "the items the character earned". If by some quirk of editing such an item was not neatly placed in either column at the bottom, I'd still say the character earned access to the item, so the boon can be used.

Lau's read matches my own.

Makes sense.
