Silent image spell range, is it from caster or place cast?

silent image has a range of 400+ feet. Is that from the point it was cast or from the caster? It has a duration of concentration, so if you maintain concentration on the spell, can it move with you indefinitely, or is it limited to stay within the 400+ feet of the place it was originally cast?

I assumed that the range of the spell was from the caster so if you're mounted and moving at a nice slow pace (so you don't have to do concentration checks) you could essentially be using your standard action to concentrate on the spell and keep your illusion with you.

If range is from point cast, at 10th level your range is 800ft. If you are in a dungeon and you cast it at the entrance and you go through many rooms and corridors and windy tunnels, if you move with your illusion and maintain concentration as your standard action, and you are still within a straight line to within 800 feet of the place cast, is that OK?

The cubes chosen for the effect's spatial limitations must be within range of the caster at the moment the spell is cast. Once chosen, those cubes do not change; the caster's movement has no bearing on the spell's effects. The caster can leave the dungeon entirely and the figment will remain so long as the caster maintains concentration--but it will remain in its original spatially-limited area, not travel with the caster.
