So my PC's Level 3

Party:
(Assimar Chosen One Paladin of Shelyn, Human Unchained Monk, Half-Elf Evangelist Cleric of Calistria, Human Fighter 1/Sin Magic[Transmutaion] Wizard 2, Human Fighter 1/Investigator[Empiricist]{Promethean alchemist} 1/ Martial artist master of many styles 1, HalfElf Aerokineticist)
decided to head to Thistletop last session. Two members of the party fooled around at the howling hole and almost killed the Bunyip from above. This made a ton of noise and gave Gogmurt and Tangletooth the time to sneak up on the party. When he engauged the majority of the part were in the tunnels. He Sneak attacked and took down the Cleric. The Paladin and Monk broke from the party and engaged with Tangletooth. Next round Gogmurt entangled the whole area. The two party members who were messing around at the hole heard the fighting and came in to help however refused to enter the entanglement and thus couldn't see anything but yelled that the party should retreat. The party slowly backed off except the Paladin who kept being tripped by Tangeltooth so couldn't escape. The monk before escaping killed Tangletooth and grabbed the unconscious Cleric and ran off. Gogmurt pissed summoned a wolf to box in the Paladin tripped her and took her out. The party not able to see what was going on sent the Investigators Homunculus to see what was going on, and witnessed Gogmurt and the summoned wolf drag the Paladin away to Thistletop proper.

The party healed up with potions and scrolls and waited out the entangle. They than moved to the bridge and sniped the guards at the door and than one by one stealthed across the bridge without being seen by the guards in the tower(I even gave them a + to their perception for having the higher ground. The session ended with the group hiding in the bushes outside the front door.

So I am trying to figure out the best course of action. I know Gogmurt wants Nulia gone but with the party killing Tangeltooth I don't think that is an option anymore(willing to think otherwise). I don't want to kill the paladin as this player really like this character and even pained a mini for the first time ever to play it. Do I just have the Goblins tie her up in the food room? Do they just bring her to the throne room and wait for the party(What I am leaning toward) and should the Goblins alert their allies underneath Thistletop? I feel like Ripnugget is cocky enough to want to deal with the problem himself and show Nulia after how strong he is.

Ripnugget can give the paladin to Nualia to try and earn her favor (he is infatuated with her, after all). Have the paladin locked in the cells below (area D9), waiting to be sacrificed upon the altar (area D12) to Lamashtu by Nualia. Depending on the PC's timing and your whims, perhaps the execution is about to happen right as the PCs reach the chapel. Have the paladin be unconscious (drugged perhaps?) until right as the ceremony begins and the PCs arrive. That should create some nice drama.

Just reread through the whole fort to be prepared for next session. I think for sure I am gonna put the Paladin in a cell in d9. The Paladin's familiar has access to it's lay on hands(Lay on Paws) I think I will have the familiar(who is in a familiar satchel and thus the goblins shouldn't be aware of it) get out of the Satchel and heal the Paladin once it thinks the coast is clear. I will give the Paladin the opportunity to try and break the cell as she has an 18 Str can can probably do it, recover her gear and follow her blood trail back upstairs and hopefully run into the party looking for her or help them with whatever trouble they encounter on the 1st floor.

So my real question now is whether or not area D should be on alert or not. Tsuto is in jail in Sandpoint so it is only Bruthazmus, Lyrie, the Yeth Hounds and Orik(whom I am certain will join the parties side if they end up in a fight).

As I said I DON'T want the Pally to end up dead so I guess Gogmurt will quickly drop the pally in a cell put her gear on the table and than rush to convince Ripnugget to kill the PC's in revenge for Tangletooth.

While I think the party has plenty of power if they end up over their heads I may have Shalelu come in as back up after finding the parties tracks going into the nettlewood on her way back to sandpoint. Obviously she won't know it is the parties tracks but maybe she thinks it is some foolhardy group who is hunting goblins and she hopes to save their ass since she knows better. I would also love to have her face off with Bruthazmus. Also she had a sexual encounter with the party Cleric after a night of drinking so although she is not quick to love she at the very least views him/the party as a friend worth helping/protecting.

I had Shalelu assist when my party got in over their heads at Thistletop (two PCs had died by the time they defeated Ripnugget). That's pretty much what she's there for aside from exposition.

Yah I feel her involvment in book 1 is a bit lackluster. I feel it odd that they don't outright suggest that she should/could acompany the party to Thistletop especially considering Bruthazmus' presence.
