A group of dedicated players is looking for a replacement GM for a Strange Aeons game. We have barely started the first book, but 4 out of 5 of the players have stuck around hoping for our GM to return. The game started at the end of October and we've decided after not hearing from our GM for an extended period of time that we would try to find a replacement.
Current party consists of:
- A formal and antisocial Qadiran combat witch who is used to people being afraid of her and is obsessed with redemption
- A grumpy dwarf purifier who will be reading into everyone's dreams
- A ratfolk fighter who doesn't think that he is naturally a ratfolk
- A pink haired bouncy gnome who "Knows a thing"
We lost our rogue around the same time we lost our GM. Since we haven't gotten basically anywhere we would have no issues with a fresh start if a potential GM preferred to go that route. It's a good group of interesting characters that have at least shown dedication in sticking around while the GM has gone missing. We are hopeful to find a dedicated GM willing to either take over the reigns or kick of a fresh start of their own.

I might be interested in taking over. Im currently running my irl group though book 3 right now. Most of them have the attitude of run and gun and story comes second so this may be a way to actually get the atmosphere I missed the first time. I was trying to piece together the special rules that were in use but I'm at work right now. Can one of you help me out?

@Natloz See the spoiler below for details on character creation. Otherwise, as noted we did not get very far at all so we have no issue with a restart and adjusting to GM preference if needed, especially since there may need to be a new recruitment for players.
feat tax rules
20 point buy
no 3rd party
core races preferred (but with a sufficiently good character idea, others will be considered)
automatic bonus progression
Background Skills
Unchained Classes (except for Summoners)
emerging firearms
not allowing Occult classes

Thanks, I saw those in the recruitment thread but I want sure if anything else came up after that.
I usually run fairly vanilla games so I've never played with the feat tax rules or automatic bonus progression (or gestalt or vmc). That being said, I'm willing to broaden my horizons if you'll have me.
That being said, connortheconman, I don't know how much you're jonesing to see the other side of the adventure. I won't put up a fight if you really want to run it.

Hey everyone, I'm Tealk. I just thought i should add my own name into the hat.
I can see why the GM has asked for there to be no occult classes in the initial character creation process. I was going to do something similar with my group, but never got around to playing...
I have ran the first book over on Roll20 with randoms to "test" my maps and game I've worked so long to develop. It went really well and i was excited to run it properly but, I was disappointed when my actual table decided to run something else.
I would be more than happy to take over as GM, at least to take you to the end of the first book. I see that your GM didn't use maps, which i heavily dissagree with. If you guys are okay with using Google Maps for tracking things, i'd be happy to set something up.
I have been looking to run an adventure path on PbP for a while now. I would really love to take over. I'll need at least a week to get the game setup and get a handle of your characters. But story wise, I have read and prepped the game up to the start of the third book. I'll just need to transfer things into pbp format.
Obviously I wasn't first to the punch here, so I'll stand down for other gm's who got in earlier than me. But I am willing on taking 5 players.
Edit - Scratch the week to get maps ready. Maps for Part 1 of the adventure are ready to go.
