Craftable Alchemical Items and Crafting Time

I have an Alchemist (Grenadier archetype) and I have questions about crafting.

Quote:

How can alchemists craft in Pathfinder Society Organized Play?

Alchemists can use the Craft (alchemy) skill to produce items with their Alchemy ability. Follow the Craft rules on pages 91–93 of the Pathfinder RPG Core Rulebook as well as in the alchemist’s Alchemy ability description. ... Alchemists are assumed, for Pathfinder Society Organized Play, to carry the necessary items and tools with them to use available resources to create alchemical items. ...

From the CRB, pages 91–93, it says that a craft check represents one week's work and includes a table to show craft DCs.

Quote:

To determine how much time and money it takes to make an item, follow these steps.

1. Find the item’s price in silver pieces (1 gp = 10 sp).
2. Find the item’s DC from Table 4–4.
3. Pay 1/3 of the item’s price for the raw material cost.
4. Make an appropriate Craft check representing one week’s worth of work. ...
Quote:

Item / Craft Skill / Craft DC

Acid / Alchemy / 15
Alchemist’s fire, smokestick, or tindertwig / Alchemy / 20
Antitoxin, sunrod, tanglefoot bag, or thunderstone / Alchemy / 25

However, I am confused about the items that are craftable (and their crafting times).

For example, crafting Alchemist's fire requires DC 20, and 10 minutes of time (Source: AONPRD). If our party have some free time in a session, let's say we are wasting time in a town, can I craft Alchemist's fire to use on the next combat? Or, without using another source such as Alchemy Manual, do I have to follow CRB's sentence for "a week's work" and therefore I can only craft between sessions?

If I can craft in a session, what happens if I want to craft Itching Powder (AONPRD) There is no time information.

Lastly, can I craft anything that requires only Craft (Alchemy)? Or am I restricted to alchemical weapons only?

I know these questions pop up so often but I couldn't find any clarification. Thank you in advance.

Those times and recipes are for use with the spontaneous alchemy rules in the Alchemy Manual; they are seperate from, and work differently to, the main crafting rules in the CRB.

So, if only CRB is considered, I will not be able to craft in a session since single crafting takes weeks of work.

According to this answer, I have to ask, what do I benefit from Swift Alchemy?

Swift Alchemy (Ex)

At 3rd level, an alchemist can create alchemical items with astounding speed. It takes an alchemist half the normal amount of time to create alchemical items, and he can apply poison to a weapon as a move action.

I think I was already able to craft as much as I want in downtimes. What does "half the normal amount of time" refer to, what do I gain? Is it ignored in PFS plays?

Thank you.

It all depends on how good you are. The better your craft alchemy skill, the less time it takes. If you have the master alchemist feat it can make crafting go very quick. I had a spreadsheet and it wasn't difficult for some of the easy items to be made in minutes or rounds.
