ive been mulling over this crazy idea i had a couple days ago. playing a shadowrun campaign set within the realm of Dragonlance. Palanthas has become a massive sprawling metropolis, numbering over 3 million demihumans, effective, working technology from the gnomes has spiked, the gods have avatars that roam the land, seeking for believers in a world where apathy is the norm, the Companions have been forgotten, the dragon wars now regarded as myth (except amongst the dragons), the ruins of Istar now a hedonistic underwater metropolis, and so on.

OMG yes.
If anyone is intimidated by the Character Generation, there are a few really good resources.
Hero Lab, if you have the coin, is fantastic.
Chummer5 is a free option, a little trickier to use but very capable.
Also check out the Shadowrun subreddit, there's lots of folks who have offered up PreGens and the like.
Any idea of the game style, Rizzenmagus? Traditional "heists and kidnappings" or were you thinking of a more esoteric plan?
Very interested to see this work.

The Lion Cleric sees a blur and they are suddenly bear-hugged by a fuzzy flash. "mmmfROY!mmmph"
Before they can react the blur moves off and quickly buries her head in HepCat's bushy and medallioned chest. "mmmfHEPCAT!mmmff"
For no reason at all a bar suddenly appears and Wraith moves behind it, serving drinks until some shadowy employer appears and gives them all a job that requires hard cash and soft morals.
"What'll it be, chummers?" she asks, pouring herself a shot and draining it. She flips a switch and a neon sign reading 'No dragons or wyrms allowed' lights up.
So Atlas has said, so Atlas has done. =)
Let's ride!

I don't always download Chummer5 for free and easy assistance with character creation.
But when I do, I get it here. =)

Bah! This will not stand!
So here's what we're going to do, chummers.
I've had it in my head to run a Shadowrun campaign for a while now, as well as dip my toes in the PbP GM-ing experience. Then again, I'm a realist, too, so I'd rather not get your hopes up too much, so we won't be aiming for the stars just yet.
I think I got enough for a small, self-contained adventure that should keep us going for at least a couple of months of PbP. At the end of it, we're (well, mostly me) are going to decide if we can keep it going for a longer one.
Recruitment thread will be up tonight!
