What's Amanandar doing during all this?

War for the Crown

They aren't mentioned once as far as I know. I was honestly expecting them in the player's guide, at a minimum as a one line under races.

Are they supporting a candidate in favor of better policies with them? Using this to break away (One PFS module has a Taldor faction mission implying they're seen as disloyal for their leader not being an imperial appointment or nobility)?

Being still pretty fresh as far as colonies go historically, a mere century old. It probably is somewhat dependent on flowing aid. Aid that kinda tends to vanish during upheavals/mobilizations at home.

And thus being forced to seek other forms of assistance or liberalization for the purpose of mobilizing local resources.

In short busy taking care of themselves.

But what do i know, that is what I would expect tho.

it's really, really far away. it can't possibly impact what's going on in the AP.

The vastness of the world doesn't really mean much with magic. Per DEG New Oppara has a population of 20,154 after only letting in the best and brightest. Three other large cities and a metropolis are also listed. That's four+ settlements that have Greater Teleport. Not even counting Sending and Dream allowing communication at far lower levels.

You can actually teleport to the other side of the world with only 5th level casting, though it's more round about. With just 5th level spells you can Lesser Planar Binding a Janni, have it planeshift somewhere safe off the material plane, then have it planeshift, to your actual destination as possible, then use Teleport to correct for being off target. I don't expect NPCs to use that exploit though.
