Has anyone besides me heard of this band? It's so epic!

Hu

I had not heard them before...and I like...a lot...and I thank you.

I'm glad you do! They only have two songs on Youtube, the other one being "Yuve Yuve Yu".

Hu?

Spoiler:
Yeah, I heard them. I prefer Tengger Cavalry myself.

Good stuff! I think I still like Hu more, though.

Captain Marvel was a lot of fun!

Recommended!

Knock knock. Can I come in?

I lost my USB stick the other day. *shudders* Happened before, and each time it's awful. WHAT WAS ON IT??? WHO HAS IT NOW? And WHAT CAN THEY DO WITH THAT? Eventually the fear goes away, and you put new questionable stuff on your next USB stick thinking "this time I will delete it", but you don't remember doing so when that too disappears.

False alarm this time. It was on my bedroom floor. And the questionable stuff is poorly written stuff I use as writing practice, some with... different ratings.

Of course you can come in. I let everyone in. But then again, I'm a transient squatter on this thread and don't have to clean the place up.

MONKEY POUNCE!

Of course, you can come in, Sissyl! I'm glad you found your USB stick!

At least nobody’s made any frog puns...

Yet.

Well maybe if you toad them not to...?

Damn. I have a crushing headache and can't think of anything to come back to that with...lol

Froggedaboutit... you'll get the next one.

It hurts my head to laugh...but I did, anyway.

{bursts in} No one expects the Slaadish InPunsition!

You're right. That was totally unexpected!

I prefer to keep to snake puns and wondering if Kevin Conroy is ever going to give up being Batman...Not that I want him to just that the most recent WB animated thingie SOUNDED like him...but I could be wrong.

Kevin Conroy is best Batman. Just like Mark Hamill is best Joker.

Agreed.

While we're talking about losing USB sticks.

Edited to avoid doubleposting.

Captain Marvel was very good.

yes it was. I liked it.

I'll bet that Samuel L Jackson wishes he could go around still looking like that with out the digital editing! :)

They did a good job though,

Pretty worried about my son. He's 25, is playing in a pretty successful band, and has anything he needs and wants at hand. But he broke up with his GF this past weekend and is absolutely despondent. I barely knew the girl because she seldom came over here so he spent his time with her at her place. I didn't even realize they'd been dating for 4 years, thinking it was only 2.

At any rate, I've never seen anyone so broken except for myself over 30 years past when the same happened to me. He keeps asking what does he need to do to get over this but gets mad when I offer him advice. We even offered to pay for a counselor he wants to see but he refuses to let his mom and me do it.

Not asking for advice here, just getting it off my chest. Thanks for letting me go on about it.

You know as well as anybody else does who has lived long enough - time is the only cure, and it's a different amount of time for every individual.

Precisely. It took me 17 years to get over the end of the relationship that caused my first breakdown. I got over the hurt and the sadness after a year or so, but the anger lingered.

I've mentioned on this thread that my RPG interests are really changing from traditiona/rules-heavy games like Pathfinder RPG and GURPS to more rules-light/narrative-focused games like Fate, GUMSHOE-based games, or the "Powered by the Apocalypse" family of games.

If there are any other like-minded folks on this thread, I want to shout out to another gaming forum: The Gauntlet. They are a long-running community that's focused on independent RPGs, OSR games, and LARPing.

The recently ported their discussion forums from the soon-to-be retired Google Plus to their own internal discussion forum. From what I've seen, their community is very postitive and open, with almost none of the snark and virtiol that's been poisoning the Paizo rules and PFS forums.

Honestly... I'm probably going to be transitioning over to The Gauntlet for the lion's share of my gaming discussions, as my interest in Pathfinder has been waning for quite a while.

If you do mosey over there... I'm "Haladir" on that board, too!

We hope you still come 'round to visit!

Not a lot going on around Sweet Home Calabama today. There are some housework type things but I somehow doubt I'll manage those. It's really hard to stand very long. I hope the upcoming surgery fixes things!

I'm now wishing I'd named this thread "Sweet Home Calabama". That's what my friends call my house.

Hey, everyone! How has your day been?

Well enough for a Friday. Yours?

Not too bad. Didn't accomplish a lot because of my knee but did have lunch with a friend, so that was a good thing!

I wrote something about today. Here, read this and let me know what you think. Also walking a Siberian Husky for like 50 minutes a day is pretty intense..

That was well said. Thanks for taking the time to put down the words.

Eh. It was idle time. So when that happens (some times) I write.

I wish I could write. I suffer panic attacks and become physically sick when I try.

I can write. I just think none of what I write will ever get published. Even though I am technically published in a few places...

But times are I wish I was published like Stephen King got it.

Yeah, true. I've managed to write one thing ever, a very, very short horror story that became the inspiration for a short horror film that won a couple of con awards. And that's been it.

I wrote one poem that got published in my small college's lit mag; Then later a few freelance stuff for WW/S&SS Scarred Lands.

Gads, I hope today is less painful than yesterday but it's looking like that's going to be a no. On the good side I get to be a player tonight for the first time since December. We're playing the old supers game DC Heroes and I get to play Shroud, The Master of Fear! Wooohaaa!
