Quote:
you do not have to move at half your speed while traveling through the wilderness

I presume it means it alleviates 1/2 penalty to travel speed given by any terrain without roads, except jungle (and would rule that jungle is 1/2 instead of 1/4 if spell is active)?

But that spell only affect the caster, meaning even if ranger can run at her full 30 speed, group still have to move at half the dwarf's speed, so 10?

This, tho, allows ranger to move half speed while using survival to hunt for food (instead of 1/4), and the rest of the party can move their half just traveling, roughly equalizing them?

1. Correct.
2. Also correct.
3. Correctamundo, assuming you're talking about foraging in wilderness that itself would normally slow the party to half speed even when not foraging.

The ideal use of this, in my opinion, is tracking. Normally the tracker slows the whole party down to half speed because the tracker has to study the path carefully. Deadeye's Lore prevents this from being an issue, so the entire party can follow tracks at a normal, non-tracking speed.

Nice, thanks!

Also, certain groups, more commonly NPC groups than PC groups probably, might have everyone who can cast it, which would make them quite mobile in the wilderness.
