Paralyzed Enemy

Playing the Game

Anyone have any good strategies to impose on a paralyzed enemy for 1 round? I thought manacles on the enemy would significantly hinder the enemy but it appears it only hampers movement. Anyone have some ways to really shut down a temporarily paralyzed opponent?

At the moment I think paralysis only removes their actions and makes them flat footed. Unless they made an errata I’m not aware of. So if it only lasts around just try to put on the beat down as best you can. Paralysis should do more and it’s been brought up in at least one other thread.

Ya I hope they change it for the official release (fingers crossed).

Could make it similar to Sleep at the very least by having the enemy fail all reflex saves for the duration. That's for starters.

If we did that I do feel we'd need it to be harder to get paralyzed. Only needing one failed save to open you up to absolutely getting murdered by AoEs for a round is a bit harsh and just the kind of thing PF2 has tried to stray from, it's practically a save or die on a level 3(or is it only 2?) spell at that point.

Like don't get me wrong I'd like to see stronger Paralysis but I wouldn't want to see everything that causes Paralysis now gain that strength. Does that make sense?

I agree both with making paralysis a more severe condition, but also that if it becomes so everything related to paralysis must be balanced in that context.
