Animate Object- How do you change stats for size?

Rules Questions

Silver Crusade

I am trying to work out stats for objects animated by the animate object spell.

I am looking at the monster size advancement tables on page 296 of the Bestiary. The tables I am looking at list and, for example, going from a medium to a large creature the strength is +8. But going from large to huge is also +8. So if I go from Medium to huge is the change +8 or +16?

If I go all the way down to fine size does the animated object get weapon finesse for free at some point due to size?

Do they keep the same weapon damage? It seems off to have a fine sizes construct deal 1d6 even with the strength penalty.

What about space and reach? Where can I find the default for each size?

Is there a ruling on animating objects with smaller sizes but with higher number of CP?

You can also see the tables I talk about on this page about half way down.

The bonuses/penalties apply for each size change. So med -> huge is a +16.

I'm not sure about melee attacks, but for combat maneuvers:

Creatures that are size Tiny or smaller use their Dexterity modifier in place of their Strength modifier to determine their CMB.

I can't find any similar wording for normal melee attacks, so the answer seems to be no. It is worth noting that creatures get a static bonus/penalty to attack rolls and ac based on their size. So, even without weapon finesse small creatures get a bonus to hit based on their size.

if you take a look at natural attacks under the universal monster rules. There is a table that lists the base damage of a natural attack by size. This is how much damage the construct will do. The CP method gives constructs natural attacks which follow the aforementioned chart.

you can find that information here

They just cost more

If an animated object spends more CP than its size category would allow, its CR increases by 1 (minimum of +1) for every 2 additional CP spent.

and

Pricing a New Construct wrote:
As a rough guideline, a construct's price is equal to its challenge rating squared, then multiplied by 500 gp. Constructs with a fractional CR rating base their price on that fraction of 500 gp. For example, a CR 1/2 construct has a price of 250 gp. The cost of magical supplies for the Craft Construct feat is half this price, with the construct taking 1 day to create per 1,000 gp of the construct's base price.

its also possible to increase CP by giving them flaws. although, pfsrd might just be mixing actual rules with 3rd party, so you should double check.
