What do you think the flaws of a crane style magus would be?

Personally i rather like the idea of a high ac spell sword dancing around the battlefield like an agility blitzer, but some people I've talked to don't like it due to how it very much limited your use of spell combat.

What do you guys think?

Personally, I think that NOT using spell combat at every opportunity will do nothing to cripple a Magus. You still have the option to use it and that is what matters.

A multi-touch spell - classically frostbite, with rime spell when you can - works fine with movement. A few extra points of AC may not be a character defining ability though, don't put too much weight on it.
