The best Actual Play Podcast?

Pathfinder Adventure Path General Discussion

I’m looking for the best actual play podcast playing an adventure path thanks.

Glass Cannon Podcast is pretty good. They're the first and as far as I know only podcast to be officially licensed by Paizo.

This is the one I listen to and I love it.

But I'm sure there's a ton of other great podcasts out there, check the forums there are several threads dedicated to actual play podcast groups.

Strand Gamers did a pretty fun run through Kingmaker a few years back. You can find them (and a lot of others) on RPGMP3.com.

The PATHFINDER ones I listen to are:

Glass Cannon is running through:

Giantslayer - their main 'cast and probably the gold standard for how to do it
Dead Suns - (Starfinder) - wherein a cast member is added to the original 5
Ruins of Azlant - different GM, only available on Patreon, and with a semi-rotating cast
Strange Aeons - for their live show. only 1 session so far.

FIND THE PATH is a really good run through of Mummy's Mask. They are on Book 2

NATURAL 11 is doing Curse of the Crimson Throne. I am not caught up with them, but i think they should be done with book 2 or starting book 3.

there are tons more out there. just gotta look.

How far did you get with Natural 11? I stopped on the episode where the title admits it doesn’t work well (“Chase scenes don’t make good radio”)

The Sugar Fuelled Gamers are also over at RPGMP3.com with Kingmaker as a solo game and Curse of the Crimson Throne as a group game, as well as Book 1 of Serpent's Skull adapted to a mini-campaign.

As for "best"... that's a pretty subjective quality measure. Is there anything in particular you're looking for?

A particular Adventure Path? A completed Adventure Path? Quick games, long games, games with heavy tactics, games with heavy roleplaying? Best quality audio? Group dynamics? Diverse group makeup? Regular updates? Lots of episodes posted?

More information might get better suggestions, where as it is you'll probably just get a group of groups to listen to and see what you like (which is, admittedly, a pretty good way of finding AP podcasts!)

Silver Crusade

Starcast is worth checking out (it has amazing sound quality). Not many episodes so far, unfortunately. Memorable quote: "Which one's the d6?"

well... they just kept fumbling on that one and failing their checks. it was brutal, but them's the dice.

I got to book 2 where they enter the Urgathoan masquerade house. I stopped because a) that's one of the best parts of the AP, and b) I wanted to review the hardcover before hand so I can really visualize the action. I just haven't gotten around to it. Maybe on my next business trip I'll get back into it.

They do a really good job; sound quality is solid, they have good characters, and there's a really good description of the action.

EDIT: looking at it, i don't see any new episodes since the end of October. hopefully it's just a hiatus at the end of book 2.

I just started listening to (on the recommendation of FIND THE PATH), THE HIDEOUS LAUGHTER Podcast, who are working on Carrion Crown.

I'm only two episodes in, but I've been enjoying it a great deal so far.

Bonus for me is that they're located in my hometown, so I might run into them someday at one of the local game stores.

I've just added The Hideous Laughter Podcast to my listening list, again on the recommendation of Find the Path.

Glad to hear it's good for you so far. I'll probably get to it at the weekend at some point.

FANTASTIC WORLDS is running REIGN OF WINTER.

I don't know how good it is - they have a nice website - I just found out about them today.

Added this one too. Agree the website looks very professional.
