Iron gods ranger - galvanic saboteur archetype?

Iron Gods

I’m looking at playing a ranger in an upcoming campaign of Iron Gods. I’m wondering if galvanic saboteur is a good archetype for this AP, or if I should just go straight ranger with construct as a favored enemy. Can anyone offer some analysis on the special abilities? Thanks in advance!

Reprogram vs. wild empathy: meh either way, you probably won't have Cha but great if it works. Almost all constructs will have int score so you are at -4.

Lucky dodge vs. Favored terrain. Terrain varies very much in the AP. Lots of underground buildings and ruins though. Lucky dodge will help more at the later stages when you will meet more robots with lazors. There might be some feats or spells that give favored terrain more use. I can not really say which would definetely be better.

Woodland stride has little value in this AP. The trap is even more situational. There are a lot of constructs to make traps from but their usefulness really depends on the GM and your imagination.

Static strike is once per day, bad. Swift tracker might come up once or twice in the AP. Camouflage seems okay if you like hiding.

Sensor evasion seems like a downgrade form Hide in plain sight.

Shadow Lodge

I used the archetype through IG and it was handy. I was able to reprogram one of the nasty robots in book four and have it follow us around.

If you want to integrate more into the setting I'd go with the archetype. If you just want to hurt constructs go base ranger.
