I've always been a fan of life draining magic and other things of the like so I was a little disappointed when I read the necromancer's life siphon ability. Instead of siphoning life from doing damage you just get to heal yourself based on the level of the necromancy spell you cast. Don't get me wrong, I see how mechanically that is very useful but I was really looking forward to necromancer abilities that would let me steal life from my victims. The ability even says in its description that you are using the spell's magic to heal yourself so there is absolutely no life siphoning going on. I'd either like to see this ability changed to better fit it's name or rename it and give us a a new life siphon that actually siphons life.

Several spells heal you from dealing damage - just yesterday I had a playtest session where a lv12 monster healed himself for over 50hp with a single cast, players were going crazy.
The trick with life siphon is that you can do it with anything, and on top of regular healing.
Buuut, it is weak and most spell powers need a bit of a boost anyways.

Life siphon wouldn't be bad if it was 1 spell point, or if your amount of spell points was doubled. At level 10 you can heal an average of 22.5 hp up to 5 times a day. A heal spell heals 45.5 at that level. A Wizard has probably 98 hp.
They should also stop having characters increase ability scores so much. That makes con and thus hp scale a lot faster than linearly, so damage and healing spells lose ground.
