Gortus and Gurnak as hirelings?

My party is currently running through the skinsaw murders, and just fought off Grayst Sevilla, Caizarlu Zerren, and his zombies. Through some ridiculous diplomacy checks, the party also managed to make Gortus and Gurnak not exactly friendly, but not hostile to them. Now the paladin has convinced the party to turn Habe in to Sheriff Hemlock for harboring a necromancer in his basement who experimented on previous patients, and the Rogue, assuming that Gortus and Gurnak 1) would allow this and 2) have no reason to stay at the sanatorium wants to make them his hirelings. This same party also managed to befriend Orik Vancaskerkin, and convinced him to work for the Sandpoint town guard rather than continuing to try to save up money as a mercenary.

The adventure path is rather vague on just how loyal the two tiefling brothers are to Habe, as well as how willing they are to leave their "remote place to hide out" in favor of someplace a little less out of the way such as Sandpoint, or should the party have them accompany even further, even Magnimar. How would you guys run this?

It depends rather on what the PC wants them to do, and whether it's the sort of thing they want to do. And the pay, and so on. Why recruit them specifically? If he wants hirelings, there are plenty of people who want work.

He's the rogue, he wants hirelings that are ok with sketchy assignments, if needed. That's my bet, anyway. I like your group, Shadow_Hawk. If it were me, I'd take a little time before the next game and flesh out G&G's personalities. Give them some dreams and motivations and such- maybe base them off some mildly unsavory characters from life or media. Then I'd let things play out with the party, based on that. I'd probably also let the player know that they shouldn't lean too heavily on these NPCs, unless they plan on taking the Leadership feat.

A group that can overcome adversaries through diplomacy is going to make for a fun AP.
