Poppets from Adventurer's Armory 2, Legal in PFS?

Pathfinder Society

The Concordance 1/5

Adventure's Armory 2 has rules for really basic constructs called Poppets.

Looking at the Additional Resources page, I cannot tell if I Poppets are legal in PFS or not.

from the additional resources page:

Pathfinder Player Companion: Adventurer's Armory 2 **
Equipment: The equipment in this book is legal for play except the butchering axe, invisible enemies kit, orc hornbow, spring loaded scroll case, sunsilver dancer's garb, sunsilver, and waveblade. The elemental explorer's kit always costs 2,700 gp. The example masterwork tools on page 19 are all legal for play and do not represent an exhaustive list of such tools; note that most tools for Knowledge checks (e.g. Pathfinder Chronicles) typically take at least 1d4 rounds to consult and use. The typical improvised weapons sidebar presents good guidelines for such weapons except when a specific item provides more specific rules. Drinking multiple concoctions does activate the concoction miscibility table on page 27. Singing steel armor, shields, and weapons are legal for play, but other items made of singing steel are not. Equipment Tricks: The equipment tricks in this book are legal for play except captivating embrace, ladder lock, smoke strike, and telltale reflection. Feats: The feats in this book are legal for play except Craft Poppet and Modification Master. Spells: The spells in this book are legal for play. Traits: The traits in this book are legal for play except amiable briber and well-provisioned adventurer. Misc.: The armor modifications and weapon modifications in this book are legal for play except nimble and versatile design. GMs can use the expanded improvised weapons qualities list as guidelines for adjudicating improvised weapons.

The Exchange 5/5

Yeah, watching this thread closely...
As far as I can tell, they look legal to me...
(supporting evidence): the only possible problem I can see with it is that the section that lists Poppets (pg 30) is actually titled "Poppets" not "Equipment". But then the Butchering Axe is listed in a section titled "Implements of War", with a subsection "Weapons" - but it is referenced in Additional Resources as "Equipment". If Poppets AREN'T "Equipment" (and thus "...legal for play..."), then what are they?

what's up with the boards any more? has everyone left for other games or something?

The downtime a few months ago hurt... also, much interaction goes on in the Organized play discord channel.

Possibly.

There's certainly an implication that PF2 makes continuing to play (or discuss) PF1 redundant most especially in an organised play context. So if a person isn't enthusiastic about PF2, there's a certain incentive to just quietly quit. Or loudly quit, but I imagine that everyone who was doing that has already done so.

I'm feeling it myself, even though I don't actually play a lot of PF and am feeling a surprising* enthusiasm specifically for the idea of playing 10-07.

*surprising because I rarely feel noticeable amounts of enthusiasm, not as a statement about the module.

Some of us just keep plugging on, elsewhere.

They used to have some RP forums here, which people use to use, but since they removed them, things just keep getting quieter and quieter.

Adventurer's League and the growing number of other Organized Play options also take a bite. I have also seen many people that move on to home games over Society games, and prefer that. (Not that there is anything wrong with that, just means less Society players.)

No, unfortunately not. There used to be some faction chat/RP forums underneath the Organized Play forums, back before the Great faction shift from nation states to ideals. The number of people that used them was dwindling however.
