How many spells?

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

I've tried looking it up, and without going through all the books, I was just wondering if anyone knows a source that could tell me...

How many spells are in Pathfinder? Unique spells, for all classes?

This would be a good source for all spells:
http://www.aonprd.com/Spells.aspx?Class=All

You can count them yourself if you really want to be sure.

After I copied the text and pasted it into a text file, I got over 3000 lines. This is imprecise number because some spells took up 2 or more lines.

If the spreadsheet is accurate, and there are no reprints in the books realeased since then, 2952 spells.

Linkified.

As of today, that list has 3015 spells.

Wow, I was actually asking because I was wondering what it would take for a sort of "Ultimate Spellbook" hardcover. All of the spells from 1e Pathfinder in one big tome.

I've dreamed of a Spell Compendium for Pathfinder, and I know other folks have as well. I'd pay good money for a hardcover edition, but sadly it doesn't seem like something Paizo wants to do.

Have a gander here J. A.
