Spectral Hand / unarmed strike / hex strike

Good day all, About to depart to Hells Rebels and am looking to play a Speaker for the past/Monk.... One question that I cannot seem to see anywhere is in regards to spectral hand.. I know it deals "touch attacks" etc, but the part of the description reading "..and attacking with the hand counts normally as an attack" makes me think that it may be possible to do "unarmed attacks, and hence Hex strikes??? Probably pushing it a bit here and do not want to get this wrong in the game as character will be built up by then...

'attacking with the hand counts normally as an attack' in no way is the same as 'the hand attacks as your normal hand would.'

Basically that clause means that things like attacking with the hand will ruin your invisibility. It counts as an attack for anything that triggers from or requires an attack, but the only thing it can do (the only way it can attack) is deliver a touch spell of 4th level or lower. It can't deliver touch ranged supernatural abilities, let alone a physical unarmed attack.
