As this is, from what I can tell, your first run at a PBP game...I would try to make things simple and easy. No sense biting off more than you can chew.
I would avoid trying new systems until you are comfortable with what you are doing and I am not saying that you are not capable of running a game. Just hoping to give some advice to make this easier on you. The kingmaker is one of the most popular AP out there and it will draw a lot of players wanting to get in on it. PBP games are fun and can be a pain if the right group is not found. Some players do not separate RL from RP well enough and they take things personally. Having the right character mix is just as important as having the right player mix.
I thank you for taking the time to run the game as there seems to be fewer and fewer DMs out there willing to stick it out till the end of a Game. RL is a b@++&.
