Heyo, everyone. I just found out that Paizo has said that if they reprint "Book of the Damned" that they would be removing some content.

I haven't yet purchased a copy, but when I actually do go to add it to my collection, I need to know if I need to search for first editions, or if it's safe to just buy any particular copy.

(Yes, I know why Paizo wants to edit it upon reprinting, and no, I'm not interested in a book with less content. I'm a fan of obscure stuff that is technically in the lore but isn't touched upon anymore. I won't say any more, because I don't want to make this a thread about that content.)

It has not yet been reprinted. I doubt we'll need to reprint it in hardcover format, but we'll quite likely end up reprinting it in the softcover "pocket edition" format at some point, in which case we'll be making the changes we want and need to make.

Ah, neat, thanks for the tip.

Now I know the hardcover book of evil is "Hard Core Evil"

No, it's "Eeeeevil!"

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEVIL!

I've had the book for a while, but haven't yet looked that closely at the contents. All of which lead me to ask: what content changes are being planned for BotD?

Folca, the daemonic harbinger of child abduction and sweets(who comes with lust subdomain). I'm under impression that they are most likely just going to remove him from the book(which would include picture, description and obedience/boons) rather than edit him to be less offensive, but I'm not really sure if they do that what they are going to replace the picture and content with.

Like, I'm pretty sure Folca brings bad taste in mouth to people even if he is edited to be less stranger danger, so thats why I'm pretty sure he is just gonna be replaced with something else. I personally wouldn't have mind if he was made to be boogeyman harbinger or poisoner or drug merchant patron, but either way it is surprised he got in the book as he was, whats with his obedience being "traumatize a child and get charisma bonus for it"

Seriously, the entry crossed many lines even before one of obedience boon rewards being unnatural lust <_<

I hope they don't reprint the Book of the Damned. I like that it has "forbidden"knowledge in it that makes so many people upset. In fact, I love it.

Yup.

If that book offends, they should never look at Book of Erotic Fantasy. Most people say I'm the most perverted person that they know. That book makes me sick at times. heh. I bought it more for SnG's than to really use it in game.
