Infusions for Aether seems to suck at low level

It seems the Aether Infusions seems to really suck when compared to the others elements. What do you think about allowing Aether to trade Infusions for Utilities.

In what way do they suck? (Must resist urge to make telekinesis joke...)

The Kinetic Blade does not make a weapon. Kinetic fist only works if you have claws or a bite arrack. The boomerang only works if you hit and more than likely you are not throwing your main weapon so the burn is not worth it. At low levels the only one is the range which leaves a problem for the level 3 infusion.

You do know you can use kinetic weapon to make a sword just by holding a random pebble? Kinetic Fist works for unarmed strikes, too. I will recommend the Expanded Range infusion.

Kinetic blade isn’t bad as a backup plan. The pushing and tripping infusions aren’t bad, but not exciting. And the range infusion is practically required.

Aether’s main infusion problem is that they are almost all utility based instead of damage based.

As an Telekineticist player I have found this to be a feature, not a bug. Combat infusions can be found in other elements. Telekinesis is for creative players with cool GMs who like to see their players do rad stuff.

Oh, wait, we're in homebrew! How about a feat, infuse other. You can amp up the biggest damage doer in the party. In other words, the pure fighter.

If you’re home brewing, then just add in a good infusion for 3rd level. Maybe a substance infusion that lets you benefit from the properties of the item you’re attacking with. That could even be broken up into a couple infusions. One for alchemical items. Another for overcoming material dr. And another for weapon bonuses when using a magic weapon as your object.

Kinetic blade works with literally any object without affecting the damage potential of the blade. Use a rock, a coin, a wet noodle, a handful of sand, whatever.

Kinetic fist works with unarmed strikes. I don't see anything suggesting that it works differently with aether than it does with the other elements, but I could be missing something.

What do you think about being able to switch out infusions for Utilities. Since TK is mostly about utility and game play anyway. Do you think that is broken. Because besides extended range I really don't want any of the low level infusions... I didn't think of using a rock for the blade. But that seems sad as at this level the TK can litterally make a wall
