Mesmerists and the Adjustable Polymorph spell

I see that memsmerists can cast disguise and alter self. But adjustable polymorph was not in the spell list. Was this intentional or a glaring omission?

My guess is that it's a mistake. The spell predates the mesmerist and is from a book that is notorious for it's poorly edited first printing. Is Adjustable Disguise sufficient? It's on the mes list.
